Wait a second! This is supposed to be the third column in a series on how political corruption has prompted serious people to give serious consideration to spending hundreds of millions of public dollars to duplicate an existing water pipeline.

Bernard may indeed be like the Godfather. Bernard is so brazen that he gets his cohorts in trouble. McNamara reportedly told Kwame when elected that he should not listen to advice from his father Bernard. Bernard had already gotten Ed into trouble that lasted until he died before the charges were proven. Kwame walked out and shunned McNamara for many years.

All of the corruption will never be uncovered. However, the scoundrels have a tough time operating under the current magnifying glass. At some point the scrutiny ends and business goes on.
