Oil is traded on the world market, but Republicans don't want world standards for education in America. Republicans want local communities to be able to enforce LOWER standards because an ignorant workforce is a cheap and desperate workforce that won't complain about low wages. Let the Chinese and Indians get all the high paying high tech jobs in America with visa waivers. Let smart Americans pay for expensive US education with life-time loans and take any job they can to pay their life-long debts. That or better yet close the schools in the US, like UM, and tell US students to go to college in India or China where it's a fraction of the cost.
