Reject and vilify any and all attacks on public schools. The Privatize Everything fascists will do so if you let them, then American workers will have the same say as did the Bangladesh workers who were killed in high numbers due to no workplace democracy known as unions. Make no mistake, the corporate owned media won't tell you the results of rightwingnutbaggery policies. But you, your children, and grandchildren would suffer with a return to the days of the Robber Barons. They value profits, NOT human beings.

That's because schools don't teach kids anymore, they're just propaganda machines with the purpose of grooming students to be obedient little liberal robots

Yes, erasing God and guns from our history, allowing boys to use the girls bathroom if they have an "identity crisis", not using red ink because it might be offensive, not keeping score in sports because the losers might get their feelings hurt....It's no wonder kids are getting their arses kicked when they get out in the real world.

The parents of these overly mollycoddled children created the situations you mention, NOT the teachers who rejected all of this pansy making nonsense. Education should first and foremost teach people how to be critical thinkers once students have mastered the 3 Rs. With textbooks coming out of crazy Texas,'the earth is 6,000 years old', and far too many Americans ignorant of this nation's complete history as explored in Howard Zinn's great book, is it any wonder we have this much dissension? The First Amendment properly gets religion OUT of our government. Zeus doesn't belong in our science labs, history classes, or city council meetings. Keep magical 'thinking' where it belongs, in places of worship.

Any logical thinking person would naturally be aghast at the thought of gun toting zealots walking around everywhere. Real freedom guarantees the right to walk around anywhere without being shot at by some undiagnosed psychotic. Health and safety! The right to pursue happiness.
The Beatles' "Happiness is a Warm Gun" was a statement on American dementia, which is alive and well. Sadly, unlike John Lennon.
