Michigan Senate committee OKs bill on moral objections
In a move proponents called a win for religious liberty and opponents said legalizes discrimination against people at their most vulnerable, a state Senate committee passed a bill Thursday that would allow Michigan's health-care providers and institutions to refuse to provide service based on moral, religious or conscientious objections.
