The difference between the average retail price per gallon in Michigan and Hawaii is 10-15 cents. Since Hawaii's gas taxes are about 10-15 cents higher than Michigan's, this means right now, the wholesale price for each state is currently about the same. I have a big problem with the idea that it costs the same amount of money for gas in Michigan - which has crude and distribution pipelines spanning the state - as it does in Hawaii in the middle of the freaking Pacific Ocean.

Our government should be investigating the cause of this, but instead they will be wasting time and money investigating steroid use in baseball.
