Unlike McDonalds, Burger King and other chains, Subway takes no interest or responsibility in its franchisees in terms of quality of food or cleanliness. Each restaurant does its own thing. It is up to the individual store and local health department. Thus, your chances of getting sick are much higher at SubWay.

On our last visit, my wife refused to eat in such a filthy place. The rest of us were sick for days.

"Most of the time, it takes around 12 hours for symptoms of food borne illnesses to occur."

Well, he said it.

I ate at Subway yesterday afternoon, and this morning I was so sick I didn't want to get up. Around 10:30 AM, more than 12 hours after I ate at Subway, I threw up.

I think Subway's got a sanitation issue. So many people got sick from eating at Subway. They are not going to change until someone dies from eating there.

I ate a tuna sub fron rivertown mall in grandville and it made me very sick for 2 days. I think it is due to improper refrigration and trhe mayo in the tuna is gone bad.

About 2 yrs ago I got sick from Tuna Sub in a NYC Bloomies area subway. Vomiting and Diahrea brutal for 2 days.

Since then continued to eat at other Subways and felt fine. Until I had a sandwich last night downtown nyc and now my stomach feels awful! I'm officially never eating at ANY subway again.

I'm from England and the Subway here is delicious! Nothing is ever bad, they throw out all the old meat half-way through the day (They change meats half-way through the day!)

A few years back, my husband and I got sick from Subway. It was a horrible sickness. It wasn't just us, but many in our party fell ill. We reported it to the Health department. Someone came out, tested our feces and traced it to a worker who had changed her babies diaper and didn't wash her hands.
We each got a few hundred dollars out of it. Turns out some Green Bay Packers were holding a party and had Subway that same day and many fell ill too.
I am sure there were many others who didn't report it. ALWAYS report it to your local health department.

I ate an Italian BMT at subway last saturday (May 22) and I got a horrible case of food poisoning which I am still experiencing a week later. Subway really needs to get their act together if this many people are getting sick. Alot of people should get together and file a class action lawsuit against subway.

Every time I have had a Subway from 3 different locations, the following morning I have shit through the eye of a needle, and had stomach cramps and puked at work for 3 days afterwards. No more Subways for me EVER!
At least now I know I'm not the only one to suffer!

Ate at the local Subway tonight and both the wife and I were overcome with highly painful stomach pains, cramps, and diarrhea almost immediately. She had a BLT and I had theroasted chicken. Only similarity between sandwiches were the Swiss cheese and black olives. Nasty, nasty stomachs right now
