As for the poll, it's a statistically insignificant change from previous polls.

If the change were significant, perhaps it might have something to do with the state's rapidly dwindling population and a difference between who flees and who stays.

People are getting more and more fed up with all this gay BS being crammed down their throats day in and day out.

And if the title had read "Support for gay marriage skyrockets in Mich" you would have said what a great state. Your entire perception of everyone and everything is based solely on how pro or anti gay they are.

The poll indicates that 35 and older solidly reject the idea of gay marriage. 34 and younger shows support but when the numbers of those 34 and younger that are opposed are added to the others that oppose it's significant. Meaningless but significant.

There's a real simple solution to that, dear. Stop demanding that be denied equal treatment under the law and we'll happily stop objecting to it.

You DO realized that those are opposite things, right? Or is it significant only in its meaninglessness?

Could you regale us with a comparison on marriage equality of Penn and Michigan.

And Philly is about a decade ahead of most of rural Pennsylvania. You should study up.

And read the disgusting headline of this story.

No, that's incorrect, closet case.

Support for lgbt rights, like support for government funding of the arts, serves as an excellent marker for just about every other progressive issue....

It's not just about marriage equality.

Support about everywhere else has been going up.

Michigan is regressing even if it is standing still vis a vis marriage equality.

It's significant because it shows the trend in Michigan is changing.
It's meaningless because eventually gays will be able to marry each other there regardless of any poll results. I'll try to dumb it down for you next time.

That's some might righteous fundie math, there.

The math that says a couple of thousand years equals four and a half billion years....

And we like that anti gay bigots are jammed in the older demographics.

No surprise. We're all seeing what results from legalizing "gay marriage." The unintended consequences are emerging, and people are saying, "Hold on! This is not the right way to go."

Astonishing how homophobes describe themselves perfectly when they finger point.

What unintended consequences?

Fewer closet cases for you to surreptitiously hook up with?
