I wondered why there was an immediate 8 cent increase.

To hell with those rules MAN! What these Gas Stations really need more bullet proof glass! They also need to upgrade the security cameras.
This idea I about to share is directed towards "Reality is a Crutch" (DUDE!)...
Picture this!... A drive through Gas Station. Like at Mc D's only you pre-pay your purchase while an attendant, THAT CARRIES NO MONEY" pumps you order in and gives you a HAVE A NICE DAY! And you on you way! The customer never has to leave her car!
Nobody enters the store ever... You buy and pay at the window.
Pretty cool huh? What do you think?

The driver is still a sitting duck there waiting for the gas to be pumped. At some point you have to hand over money or credit. You keys are in the car. You are still a prime target. You don't know that the attendant is a fake either.

NO MAN! You had already paid for you purchase at the window!
Like at the scrap yard, you have a digital read-out in front of your car showing what the attendant is pumping in
(the gas tank)! I suppose an armed guard on top of building may help but... this idea does has possibilities!

Looks good on paper, but crooks will find a way to get around safety measures. Car jackers don't generally wait for u to exit auto. They scare and intimidate u to get their prize. Same applies here. This plan is far from foolproof for determined crooks.

Any fool can shoot right through the window or even the door. Statements to the contrary don't reflect knowledge or experience of street life.

Yeah! That's what my boss told me!
There must be an answer to this problem. For Christ Sake! In the past time period, more people have died in Detroit than our loved ones fighting 11 years in Afghanistan! We do have a National Guard you know...is it that we don't fit the proper criteria for requesting their help?
