Exactly.......and Mr Mendell didn't lose his job......he left on his own free will.

I see NOM still hasn't complied with Maine's disclosure laws.........hopefully someone does something about that!!!

Unfortunately that will take another lawsuit which will be drug out for another 3-4 years, and then they'll just do it again in the next election, and then it will take another lawsuit........

Sometimes our judical system can be SO frustrating.

It would make far more sense that if they are willfully flouting the law and *do this repetitively*, Brown et alia should be literally *arrested*. I hear you on both counts, that it is annoying *and*(or so I say, myself, quite clearly) that lawsuits should follow NOM around as often and as repetitively as necessary, but there comes a point when aspects of all this fighting are plain old STUPID and people should be looking for another way.

I mean, honestly, and said in a friendly way, I *dare* anyone to tell me that if there is no way of SHUTTING THEM DOWN in the state where they are willfully doing this, then the system is stupid and spineless. They are disobeying the law, period. There must be some other mechanism in place which *literally disallows them* from making use of aspects of the system; if there isn't, then that state is getting what it deserves. For god's sake, have an IQ and *do* something (I am saying this to the state of Maine, basically).

I have to agree. There's got to be SOMETHING else we can do other than just file another lawsuit.

I would like to see the Maine AG order the arrest of the local representative of NOM. Throw their ass in jail and get a judge to order them held until they comply with the past court orders.

DO SOMETHING!

Yeah, I've been saying this about a lot of "methods" by which the pro-gay are dealing with all this. And then you guys all get critical, and I am *N-O-T* going to stand down. I remain too vehemently firm for words; I understand that people are fighting, I understand that people are doing their best, but this is really taking the cake at this point; it looks (to me, my two cents) like efforts are being expended where they needn't be, and that efforts that should be occurring aren't.

Dude, there is no way, no way in the world, that the pro-gay have to sit back during these four state campaigns and take *THE SAME LIES* without doing something new, possibly unprecedented, and possibly drastic about it. Problem is, every suggestion *I* make gets ignored or there is an immediate criticism. My refrain, untiringly, has been the same as yours:

DO. SOMETHING.

Thank you for your post.

Well hopefully the pro-equality groups in Maine, Maryland, Washington, & Minnesota have SOMETHING planned, because the anti-gays are just now unleashing their deceptive ads containing all the lies we all KNEW KNEW KNEW they were gonna do.

I've seen their ads and listened to their debates and strategy sessions. There is nothing new here, just the same lies & scare tactics from '09 & '08.

If we lose all 4 votes this year, then we deserve to lose and just need to hang up our hats and call it quits. If we can't win in Maine & Washington, then there is NO WAY we're ever gonna overturn the marriage bans in states like Michigan or Pennsylvania or Oregon or Ohio.

If we lose this year, then we might as well save our money and just hope the courts eventually do something in the next 20-30 years.........

Some DA or the State's Attorney would have to specifically charge them with violation of Election Laws, and request an Order freezing funds until the trial is over.

Then they should DO it.
