I used to live in Orono when I went to school at Umaine and it sucked. What a bunch of two faced mean spirited people. They can act nice and smile to your face while all the time throw people under the bus. They make for annoying obnoxious neighbors as well. I moved to Bangor to get away from those bastards only to live next to more obnoxious UMaine students. I moved again only to find that a UMaine employee from the sports dept lived down stairs. All he did was run home at random times to do stuff and would slam his door day and night and make random bang sounds late at night. When I lived in Orono I knew a man in Old Town that had gone next door to ask some of the students to keep the noise down and they beat his face in. I quit school up there and moved to Portland. That University in Orono failed all major criteria for University standards back in 2010 and rightly so. They are a bunch of two faced cruel people that spend more time cutting people down than running their university. This goes for both staff and students. That whole Bangor area is peppered with these people. When ever I find out someone has a UMaine Orono degree I avoid them. Be it a doctor, law office, or other type of business. I have a longer story to tell but that would take 500+ pages of ranting to get my point across. Bottom line is if you are looking to return to school as a non-trad student don't go to UMaine Orono. Or if you have kids don't sent them there. or if you're looking for work don't work for them. It's a FAILED University that needs to be shut down. Bunch of evil clowns.

this is suppose to be a free country. Now if the government can control what we can do with our own body's then freedom is lost . face the facts the biggest drug destributors are the people we elecict to office they have a stake in the drug company's and they know that the legal drugs like perkacet and OxyContin are being sold on the street. Doctors are the real drug dealers they have a lot to gain getting you hooked on so called legal drugs. And the way i see it is that our tax dollars pay for it all in the form of maine care Think about it people don't go after the guy on the street go after the sorce and the rest will work itself out.

Women drive like C#%TS in Bangor. If they see you crossing the street they will not slow down or stop to let you cross, in fact they will speed up and pretend they didn't see you. Even if you are jay walking its against the law to deliberately hit a pedestrian. Butt these women don't understand that up in Maine. They could be 1/2 block away and have plenty of time to slow down or stop but they won't. Then they keep looking straight ahead as if you weren't even there as they drive 45mph in a 25mph area. Or turn corners without using their blinkers without slowing down or checking to see if a pedestrian is crossing the mouth of a street. These c#%ts will even run red lights and stop signs just to scare a pedestrian. Bangor Maine is NOT a pedestrian friendly city at all. It's a dangerous place to walk or drive. Also you can sit in traffic at a green light while everybody else runs their red light. The excuse I get from these numb forks is that the person in front of them is already running it so they tag along. But these stupid Mainers don't realize that the care in front of them has nothing to do with them. If the light is RED it means STOP. But these Mainers will run red lights and force people with a green light to wait and miss their turn. A website called insurance com ranked Bangor Maine one of THE top 10 most dangerous cities to drive in the USA and I believe it. I'm not saying men aren't bad drivers but the women drive around town with their noses in the air like they are better than anybody else. I've even seen a woman drive on a side walk so she wouldn't have to make a wide turn into a parking lot, she almost hit this lady with baby stroller that she didn't see. Then again maybe she did. If I had a dollar for every time I had to jump out of the way of a bad woman driver in Bangor Maine I'd be rich.

PS Dear Bangor jerk drivers. Turning your blinker on "while" you are turning doesn't mean you are using your blinker correctly. In drivers ed or any education manual you will see that a rule of thumb is to signal 3 seconds before turning and not while turning, 3 seconds may not seem that much time to the "under educated mainer) but if you do the MATH people you will clearly see that at the average speed in a residential area of 25mph that you are traveling just over 36 feet per second, which means that in 3 seconds you need to turn on your signal at about 110 feet Or about 1 telephone pole length as the average distance between poles is about 125ft. At this time you are supposed to commence slowing down. You are supposed to turn your blinkers on before you turn. Also you are still supposed to use your blinkers around pedestrians, even if there are no other cars around. You may not understand this because you people from Bangor are stupid BUT the use of your blinker is not for other "cars" it's for other "people". You see a car is not a life form, idiots! If another car is around it means there is a driver and that is the being your are using your blinker for. SO that said, even if there are no cars around you NEED to still use your blinker if there are pedestrians around. You can't just randomly turn onto a street and expect us to jump out of the way because you decided to randomly turn. Anyway, keep in mind that you can not claim that a pedestrian simply jumped out in front of you if you had time to stop and saw them before hand. If you have plenty of time to stop or at least slow down but DONT then you are breaking the law, not to mention moral and ethical codes of conduct. So stupid Maine driers might I suggest taking drivers ed in the first place and/or a refresher course. Or perhaps taking driers ed out of the state of Maine where they have superior teaching abilities because obviously someone is failing you people.

PSS Dear Jerk Bangor Ahole driers. When you turn a corner please don't turn so sharply that you are entering the street from the wrong lane, and you need to slow down while you are turning. You might have noticed pedestrians or other cars in your way??? When you turn a corner. Well, this actually means that YOU'VE done something wrong. Most likely you've turned too fast and too quickly, and even if you used your blinker you probably didn't turn it on until you were already turning. That is why a pedestrian may look scared and/or angry at you when you speed up a 25mph street at 35mph with a random turn. It's not that we didn't look both ways, it's just that you are traveling way too fast. When you turn off a busy street like State St. onto Birch St. while speeding, even if you slowed down your still going over the speed limit. When you make quick random actions like that without signaling from your perspective you may be going slower than you really are. So it's not that the pedestrian didn't look both ways, it's just when he or she looked - you were not there. When they stepped out the cross the street here you come speeding. So why don't you get a brain and slow down.

Wow sayoose obsess much? ha ha but anyway I don't like Bangor because everyone seems to be a pot head. Each time I get a new neighbor in down stairs they smoke a lot of pot. I hate the smell of it and hate to think I'm breathing in even a tiny amount of it. I've tried moving place to place but every singled time I end up near a lot of Pot Heads and angry drunks. Also a lot of people in Bangor seem to be abusing heavy drugs. Like a lot of people I bought into the stereotype that Maine would be a better place to live but it's just as scummy as anywhere else in fact worse. Sayoose is an example of the real face of Maine a bunch of angry short tempered mean spirited drug addicts that make threats. I actually pulled my son out of the local school system and sent him to go live his father out of state. This is a man I didn't want my son living with but he's far safer with his father out of state than with a bunch of Bangor Hicks high on Bath salts, crack, pot, alcohol, and what else these people seem to be doing 24/7. The kids in my son's local school where both ignorant and abusive, and the teachers were no help. I'm currently saving up money to move away from Bangor. It's certainly not the place I lead to believe it was. Bangor Maine is not a wholesome place to raise a family. Bangor Maine is the worst place I've ever lived. And don't get me started on the seriously poor drivers in Bangor. Who taught these people do drive anyway?

Do what you want with your body but don't expected decent people to want to live near you. Most people that abuse drugs are sketchy abusive people with mental issues. You might not think of yourself that way but most the people I ever met that abuse drugs are not trustworthy, are dangerous, and can turn on you in an instant. Bangor is too fully of sketchy people on drugs. It's a sad city for children. Most the kids I've seen in this area have deadbeat parents or parents that act like big out of control kids. So their own kids growing up acting the same way. You should get your self into rehab and get a real job.

PS Part of my job has me traveling and so I've seen a lot of the rest of the state and I can safely say they are a bunch of mean, lying, hicks. Working part time in Portland has been no better. There is a tiny bit more culture in Portland and some better people but its full of drunks and drug addicts as well. I can see that sort of thing in Boston or New York but I really bought into the stereotype that Mainers were smart, friendly, down to earth, non-drug abusing, and hard working. But no, from Portland to Bangor, from Orono to Milinoket they are ignorant, mean, two faced and nothing but pot head burn outs. Portland seems to be no better.

I've heard from so many homeless people that Bangor is very unfriendly to them. Specially those suffering from mental illness. There is a place called the Hope House that has employees that have personal grudges towards certain homeless and will turn them away on freezing cold nights and lie and say they are filled to capacity when they have plenty of room. Or try and instigate bad behavior and outbursts from some of the homeless in order to obtain and excuse to kick them out or get them arrested. Programs, Services, Clinics, and Shelters seem to be seriously lacking in Bangor Maine. Now I'm no liberal and don't expect everyone get a free ride but there is so little being done for homeless in Bangor Maine. And to actually get them off the street and into jobs or mental health services that can help them. In fact mental health services not only suck in Bangor Maine but are actually dwindling. I know a few homeless people and they are good people, often misunderstood and tired. But anytime they make a mistake Bangor only PUNISHES PUNISHES PUNISHES these people instead of doing anything to actually help the crisis. Sure the homeless just like anybody else should take responsibility for change. But how can they change in a horrible place like Bangor. I say prayers all the time for the homeless. There are a lot of good people helping but it's not enough. And it doesn't help when we have people running the system that are judgmental control freaks. There's not enough truly empathetic caring people that are well trained in this area. Tonight it's going to be in the low 30's and I know at least 3 people that are homeless. 1 of which I'm very worried about, though I worry about all of them. I sit warm in my apartment at my computer with my TV going on in the background and think to myself "why is there so much punishments out there for these people but not enough fixing? Why does this need to be some sort of game with winners and losers, and the losers are treated with shame, misunderstanding, and are pushed to the street?" That "Hope House" isn't much of a "house of hope" if they discriminate. Nor have proper places for the mentally ill to take shelter. Instead they are treated with combatant and shoved back out into the cold unforgiven and hostile Maine climate. Like that one woman that died several years ago as she froze to death just yards from the Hope House. Yes, she was drinking and they wouldn't let her in but alcoholism comes with a lot of homeless people. What do these places expect the homeless to act 100% together 100% of the time and walk into the shelter 100% mentally fine and acting 100% on their best behavior 100% of the time? Get Real Bangor! Get Real! As the good lord says "Do unto others as you would have done unto you" and stop being such hypocrites up there in Bangor Maine!

I was walking along today to go to an appointment and a car drove by with three young men. One of them yelled at me "Ignorant Kike" which is a derogatory comment for a Jew. I am Italian and have a beard and have been mistaken for being Jewish when I'm not. But I was still insulted that he would yell such a racist slur at me. You think it wouldn't hurt my feelings because I know I'm not Jewish and I have nothing against Jewish people. So sad to see people In Bangor Maine are so racist towards Jews, Blacks, and other races of people. And I've seen these young men head into the John Bapst private school who's motto is: "Integrity - Achievement - Respect". But I've seen some pretty nasty kids come out of that school. One kid was yelling "Faggot" at another kid walking by the school. This car load of kids I saw today I recall seeing because I recognize them and their car. And they represent John Bapts? Yelling "Kike" out their car window? ha ha ha Bangor Maine is such a backwards unsafe city to be in. I am so sick of hearing people from Maine say they are so open minded and liberal when in Bangor Maine they are very racist as well as bigoted. And on top of it they can't even get their own racism right. They yelled "Kike" at me based on a stereotype of Jewish people. ha ha ha and I'm not even Jewish.
