I'm glad. It's about time the Black community began to slough off some of its stifling cultural conservatism.
It is kind of odd that our community is POLITICALLY to the LEFT (by American standards), but so conservative in cultural matters.

Though I'm a straight man I will vote for a gay or lesbian who supports single payer universal health care before voting for a fellow straight who's against it.
Of course, I'm not culturally conservative. Nor politically conservative. A progressive white or Latin person is preferable to a black reactionary like Herman Cain or Allen West.
I want to end oppression--ALL oppression--everywhere and forever.

I agree. The republicooons keep saying that we will vote for O because of the color of his skin, but Hermain, Steele, and West are blacker and I will vote a white dem over them anytime of day. The republicans are the party of religious and economic intolerance.

I would not trust the media. The media are good at blowing up negative things about blacks. If one black person do something wrong, the media will make it look like all blacks are doing it. Good news do not sell.

I'm a rational man. Don't post incoherent jibberish to me. And my position remains. I commend those Black ministers who support marriage equality. This is a question of justice.

Indeed it is. A lot of our folks will go down swinging fighting marriage equality, but that's just how things are sometimes. I'm glad the AA community is liberalizing on this issue.

Love, marriage, and family life have little to do with the anti-Christ.

Why do so many folks have NO problem with unwed "fornication" in any and every form, but worry so much when some people want to MARRY?

Makes no sense.

Tell these gay men of various ethnicities to leave me alone. As a bm who wasnt molested I can say that I have no interest in men. In N. Tx middle class gays feel oppressed in their SAFE neighborhoods.
