Advocates for immigrants are urging the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to improve its services to foreign nationals, saying long wait times and confusing requirements have created a climate in which immigrant drivers are being exploited.

Immigrants and their advocates complain that MVA's phone lines are constantly busy, with applicants waiting as long as six months to schedule an appointment. I'm thinking it's just a rumor. I heard she was the sister of Fox's wife...but really, I can't find any evidence of that.

Columba Garnica Gallo was born in Leon Guanajuato on August 17, 1953 to Jose Maria Garnica, a migrant worker, and Josefina Gallo.(Her parents were not married.)

Marta Maria Sahagun Jimenez was born in Zamora Michoacan on April 10 1953. Her father was a physician and her mother a religious housewife.

It would be hard to picture them being related seeing as how one parent would have to be the same (and it couldn't be the mother, since they were born just a few months apart), and the descriptions of the parents don't sound similar at all.

And I'm sure that they don't care if the illegals can speak or read any English. Or can even read at all. Or have any driving skills at all.

When you have an illiterate driver who never saw the inside of a car until arriving illegally in the USA, handing him a drivers license does not make him any safer a driver.

Mexicans don't care about the drivers license except to provide them legal residency -- because they'll drive with or without them.
