Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what is the most popular newspaper(s) in La Plata?
I live in Canada and would like to place an important listing about finding someone in the La Plata area.
Many thanks,
Brian.

A 19-year-old Folcroft man and a Delaware boy have been charged with the fatal holiday weekend shooting of a Glenolden Elementary School student.
Nathaniel Kristman, 14, or "Nate" as his friends called him, was shot and killed at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at the Indian Acres mobile home park in Earlville, Md. He had been spending the weekend with family, according to Cecil County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Bernard Chiominto.

Charged in the shooting are Samuel McKeown, 19, of Folcroft and a 12-year-old New Castle County, Del., boy, whose name was not released.
"They knew each other through friends in the campground," Chiominto said. "The victim was down for the weekend. He was shot in the trailer that McKeown was staying in."
Wednesday night, Richard Kristman Sr. said his home in Glenolden was strangely silent without the family clown, the one in the family who always wanted to put a smile on everyone's face.
"That was Nate," the elder Kristman said. "I don't have even one serious photograph of him. He was always making a face, or clowning around."
Kristman said Nathaniel left Tuesday to go to his mother's residence in Maryland. Nathaniel went because he had a court appearance, his father said. Kristman declined to elaborate.
As far as he knew, Nathaniel was supposed to return home in time for school on Thursday. He later learned that Nathaniel had packed enough clothes for the holiday weekend.
Kristman frowned on Nathaniel and his three surviving brothers spending time at the campground because he did not feel it was a good place for them. Since January, he said Nathaniel, his youngest, visited there maybe two or three times.
"If he had come home when he was supposed to, he would be alive right now," the grieving father said.

that is not what happend.
the boys were friends.
the 19 yr old told them the gun was not loaded.
it went off and killed nate.
it was an accident.
the boys did not argue.

i know because i was hanging with both boys.

the only people at fault here was the 19 year old and the man who had gun in the tralier.
many of kids were in and out of that tralier for weeks and have seen those guns.

LaPlata is a small town outside of Waldorf, Maryland. Most readers in that area of Southern Maryland read the Washington Post, Washington Times. I do believe Waldorf, Maryland has a local paper too. I will try and get the name for you.

I grew up near LaPlata. The local newspaper for Charles County, MD is the "Maryland Independant". I think this is the link to their online version. Don't know how good online version is. http://somdnews.com/independent/
