Worst week in Washington: Mitt Romney

There are 39 comments on the www.journalgazette.net story from Sep 15, 2012, titled Worst week in Washington: Mitt Romney. In it, www.journalgazette.net reports that:

With less than eight weeks before voters do their thing, you can't waste a day - much less a week.

Yet, that’s exactly what former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney did with a series of head-scratching moves. On Monday the Romney campaign issued a memo from its pollster that sought to beat back the idea that Obama’s convention bounce was anything more than ephemeral. The memo felt thin and defensive.

Most polls show a dead heat. Better tell nobama to keep campaining as he has for the last four years and not worry about Amerian or World problems. DUH
No, most polls show a clear lead for Obama in enough states to get 300+ electoral votes.

Those are 2 different subjects.

Median income is the dollar figure of exact 50% mark of who makes over that amount and who makes under , meaning 50% above and 50% below. That's a divider of 2 .By your definition only those exactly $49,909 is the middle-class and those below are poor and those above are rich.

Middle-class needs at a minimum a divider of 3 , High , middle and low.

I think it should be divided by 5ths. So we have 5 levels with levels 2-3-4 being middle-class . Or zero in on income level 3.

Try again.

Word meanings are fun.

No matter how you slice it, 200-250K is nowhere NEAR what would be the middle class. 99% of Americans make LESS than $250K; 85% of Americans make less than $100k; 75% of Americans make less than $75k

The "middle class" is one of the greatest myths out there.

People in the top 1% of all wager earners are DEFINITELY NOT middle class, but politicians want you to believe that lie so they can justify giving them yet another tax break.

It's more like those making $25k-$75k, which encompasses 50% of the population in the middle of the income distribution, with 25% making more than $75k and (sadly) 25% making LESS than $25k.

So that's your TRUE middle class:$25k to $75k.

Let another 3 million illegals in to pull down wages further....while 50% of their pay goes home in remittances.

I know where I live those construction workers making $20 an hour are really happy with Guats stealing their jobs for $14 an hour.
Then the Guats send 50% of their pay south every month.

The tighter the labor market the better wages paid. Some pols figure that out and some don't.

Of course it's generally GOP biz owners in cahootz with LEFTY to have the illegals here .

LEFTY pisses and moans about jobs going overseas but LEFTY loves those overseas coming here to steal American jobs.

Laura Ingram was right earlier this week: the Party (GOP) should shut down. This week made clear that Romney & the GOP cannot be trusted with foreign policy. The white tribal xenophobic mentality might play well with their base but has no place in 21st Century Global world.
All America need do to see the chickenhawk nature of the GOP is to look at the candidate they've selected as their nominee: Romney, who hid in France while other patriotic young American men fulfilled thier active military duty requirement. How many of Mitt's boys serve in the military? Zero! Zip! Squat! Mitt's more than happy to send our kids off to war with Iran & Syria while he shields his family as he was shielded from serving. Even more troubling, Romney showed us that he'll shoot his mouth off before knowing all the facts just to score some political points. That's NOT the kind of leadership we need!
Yhe disdain (if not outright hatred) that so many Democrats feel toward our military. There's Hillary using the Marine Corps to serve canapes at White House functions - then scrambling to get on the Senate Armed Forces Committee as soon as she's sworn in. Why? To mend fences - to show how much she loves our men and women in uniform.

Then there's that sap John Kerry and his false stories about our men in Vietnam. Do you remember the words? He said that U.S. forces in Vietnam were guilty of systematic war crimes, including rape, murder, mutilation and pillage with the full knowledge and complicity of their entire chain of command. Some Naval aviators felt that Kerry's actions in leading protests on his return the U.S. resulted in extended stays in North Vietnamese prisons.

Then there's Jack Murtha talking about U.S. Marines killing innocent civilians in Iraq "in cold blood." Those marines were later exonerated.

There's a reason why the vast majority of people serving in our military vote Republican. These people understand who is on their side and who is not. They understand that Democrats hold them in near-contempt. They understand that Democrats would much rather spend money on vote-buying programs than on beefing up our military.

Do you folks remember the aftermath of the 2000 election in Florida? Do you remember that the Democrat Party sent hoards of Democrats to Florida during the recount imbroglio with orders to do whatever they could do to make sure that military absentee ballots were not counted? How's that for respect for our military ... engaging in an overt effort to disqualify military votes in an election? Remember ... if the networks hadn't called the election for Bush in 2000 one hour before the polls closed in the military-rich Florida panhandle there would never have been a recount fight. The estimates are that Bush lost 13,000 votes there when military voters went home thinking that the contest was in the bag.

The war of words, tough even for this hard-fought campaign season, came after Kerry told a group of California students on Monday that those unable to navigate the country’s education system “get stuck in Iraq.”

It's becoming apparent after the Libyan Embassy ambush and his apologies for an amateur youtube which turned out to be a prop, scapegoating the hapless youtube maker with a 3 am police arrest, that Barack is not so much a muslim sympathesizer as a Jew hater. He was raised to hate Jews. On the occasion of 2008 campaign trip he made to Germany of all places to campaign for US presidency, he asked to deliver his speech at the Berlin Gates where Hitler proclaimed victory over Jews. THE START OF THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD WAS FINANCED AND AIDED BY HITLER. Languishing at 10000 members originally, the MB grew to millions with the assistance of Hitler. The MB lead the growth of its ideology and anti-semitism to Al Queda and Hamas. Islam hates Jews. Valerie Jarrett no coincidence is Barack's right hand man and Iranian though born here. She is a muslim Iranian american who hates Jews and Israel. Barack only a few months ago insisted that Iran was a small country and of no danger to Israel and the US. We now that was false and a lie. We've arrived at this point at the precipice of Islam take over of the entire middle east and further encroachment with the traitorous enabler Barack Hussein Obama. He is guided not by love of Americans or blacks but a hate of all things Jewish and American. God help the country.

The Obama motive(s)

The reshaping of the geopolitical structure was done at the hands of Obama by design. To understand the reasons behind it, one must understand exactly who Obama is, understand his roots and origins, his proclivities and biases, which will then reveal not only his motives, but the intentions of the people who groomed him to take the seat of U.S. power. As everyone knows, we’ve got a major problem with this as the American people have been denied access to the most basic documentation about Obama’s past, from his actual birth certificate to his college and passport records.

It is important to understand that the reason for sealing off Obama’s past is to prevent people from seeing the larger agenda of the man and the people who rose in an inexplicable meteoric fashion to the highest levels of public office – and entities and people behind him. Not only have we been denied the most basic access to his records and background, the top levels of our government have been concurrently infiltrated by both members of the Muslim Brotherhood and card-carrying members of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) under his watch and with his imprimatur. While this did not begin under his watch, the process was exponentially and even overtly increased to unbelievable levels the minute he assumed office.

Lacking his bona fides, compliments of both sides of the false right-left political paradigm, we can learn much about Obama from the company he keeps, such as his advisors and associates. Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s most visible handler, has a personal stake in the outcome of Middle East events to the point of actively shaping them.

No one is "stealing American jobs"; lazy Americans can't compete with people actually willing to break a sweat to do the job. If you can't compete doing manual labor, then get an education and make yourself more valuable to a potential employer.

I do agree the GOP likes the cheap labor- and our economy actually depends on it- while the Dems like the potential for new voters, which is why nothing will ever really be done about the illegal immigration problem.

Re-read my post; I CLEARLY blamed BOTH parties. The GOP likes the cheap labor, and the DEMs like the potential new voters when the next amnesty is passed.

BOTH parties are to blame, which is why NOTHING will be done about illegals, except another amnesty at some point in the future. The irony is the GOP will likely sponsor the amnesty (like they did under Reagan) because they think it will get THEM the hispanic vote in the future instead of the Dems.

The illegal immigration problem can be solved with 2 simple steps:
1- station Marines on the border with shoot-to-kill orders.
2- institute a national ID card & require ALL citizens to carry it.

Of course the Dems will oppose the military option, and the GOP historically has opposed a national id card. So we're back to stalemate.
