he does have this very "drugs are bad, mmmkay", reagan-era mentality, a bit out of step with current thinking.

the "im a da so i have to be a stick-up-my-butt on drug issues and show no mercy to anyone and go for 100% life sentences for every crime my office prosecutes" attitude is kinda what youd expect out of that kind of office...lots of old ladies and grumpy dudes think that's cool, but really, it seems kind of 1950s unenlightened in this day and age.

The first step to handling the prescription drug epidemic is to educate people that there is one. At Novus Medical Detox Center we deal with people who use OxyContin--legal heroin, interchangeably with heroin.

We hear stories about how easy it is to get scripts for Oxy from corrupt doctors and how many of their friends have died.
