They found $90,000 in his freeser, the FBI raided his DC office in May of 2006, but the democrats stood by him, and he was re-elected later in 2006. In June 2007, he was indicted ... and still the democrats stood by him and he retained his committee seats ... but he lost re-election bid in 2008.
This is typical of democrats who protect their scoundrels until they lose re-election or are dragged off to jail.
And the democrats have the gall to call the republicans a culture of corruption.

Good riddance to another corrupt politician. Now let’s get those indictments going on Bush, Cheney and Rove. The crimes that they have committed against this country make Jefferson look like a Saint.

It's not over yet.... Let's see how many years he actually has to serve. Strings will be pulled, years will be cut, the race card played. His allies will rally. The combo of Louisiana - Chicago politics will save him in the end. We will hear from Mr. Jefferson again.

It does not matter if he was Democrat or Republican. He was from Louisiana. When he gets out of jail they probably elect him Governor. If you what want to get an idea of what goes on in Louisiana read "Gothic Politics in the Deep South" There is also a movie called "Blaze" about Earl Long staring Paul Newman that really captures the flavor of how things are done in Louisiana. After shooting up the strip club his girl friend worked in (she was the number one stripper on Bourbon street) they declared him insane and put him in the nut house. But he was still Governor so he appointed a new Surgeon General who signed him out of the nut house. For that they re-elected him.

If Edwards rides a mule backwards out of prison you will know he intends to run for Governor again.

Remember all of us have families. All of us have families that have been screwed with. Use your logic when the time comes. Law only benefits those who are of the system. The protected ones are the what you see. But you do not believe. So suffering increases. That man will never, ever lead others to the promised land. He is a moron like many of the men and women in congress. But his votes were/are dangerous as we keep paying more out of our earnings to support dregs. Katrina proved it after forty years of massive welfare spending. But we refuse to believe. It is hatefrom the pwople warning. No, the hate has not started yet. A sad commentary from a person who knew these days were coming and are arriving and much of the population still thinking "we will be all right"....

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
