It is sad that after a year this young man killer is not behind bars. Jamarsey was a role model. He didn't deserve to go like he did. Look at the bigger picture he died that day to things he never let himself be involved with, I pray that the people see he died for a reason and wise up. I will forever pay my respect to the legacy of Jamarsey. The black on black crime needs to stop. The power of drugs and money is killing people all over the world not just in Shreveport. I just hate the fact that a young man with a head on his shoulder left this running for safety. That's why it hurts so much because he was taught never be too proud to wait away from trouble. He was a real man.

My uncle was a good man.... its very unfortunate that his life had to end so soon due to someone else's stupidity. It will be 6 years since his death this December of 2011 and my grandmother hasn't been the same since. Jamarsey was her youngest child.... our family truly suffered a huge loss when Jamarsey was killed and to make matters worse, his murderer was never found...smh. I can only hope and pray that one day my uncle's murder will be served some type of justice. He is truly missed and most definitely will never be forgotten........

John 5:28,29 and Acts 24:15 promises that people like Jay will rise again in a peaceful new world. I worked with Jay and went to school with him. Even 7 years later I remember how respectful he was towards others-including my mother. I pray that Jehovah God brings comfort to all who mourn his loss. I look for to the fufillment of Revelation 21:3,4 when we can welcome him back. Praise Jehovah for this loving hope. I wish the family well and comfort during this trying time.

It has been almost 9 years since my brother has passed and I still struggle with this each day. There is not a day that has passed that I have not thought about him and wished my son & daughters got a chance to meet their Uncle. He was the nicest guy that I know that loved everyone that he came in contact with. I still tear up to this day thinking about him and it hurts. I seems like yesterday we were talking and joking, doing everything together. I ran across this artice and I just wanted to share, but I love you brother and always will.

Well said! The "God of all comfort" heals all sadness. Everybody who knew Jay, liked him.
