Power outages for thousands persist after Isaac

Days after Isaac hammered Louisiana and Mississippi with winds and rain, much of a parish southeast of New Orleans was still flooded and thousands were without power.

Why didn't Obama and the democrats who had TOTAL CONTROL of our government in 2008-Obama, Pelosi and Reid- create jobs, fix entitlements, rework our tax code?

Democrats FAILED the American people. They had total control and gave us ObamaCare-a TAX and yes, a rationing of healthcare (panel of 15 in Washington, DC designing a matrix on what care you are entitled to based on gender and AGE!)

YES, ObamaCare RAIDED Medicare (what happened to the Democrats 'LOVE' of those over 65) and gave the money to FUND the supposed 'cost neutral' of ObamaCare!

The Democrats' speil on the $716 BILLION STEALING from Medicare...oh, it's to stop the fraud in Medicare. The fraud in Medicare is created by SOME doctors-prosecute them as examples, most doctors shouldn't be punished by REDUCTION in payments because of a FEW doctors who abused Medicare.

Find the culprit, do NOT punish every damn doctor.

Had total control of government from 2008-2010 and FAILED to give us JOBS, INDEPENDENCE from foreign energy, reduce cost of GAS, and the EXTREME cost of food.

With George W. Bush in the White House, the Republicans had total control of the 107th, 108th and 109th congresses. Why didn't they
put an end to the phony war in Iraq, steer the country away from economic meltdown and fix the tax code themselves?

The reason Bush gave big tax breaks to our ruling classes
was so that they would be able to create more jobs.
But, by the time Bush left office the economy was losing 700,000 jobs per month. What happened to the jobs these billions of dollars in tax breaks were supposed to create?

We lost 8 millions jobs under Bush. What happened to those
billions of dollars in tax breaks? Where was the trickle down?

My sympathies to all those who have had to deal with the after effects of Isaac. Nothing is crappier than having no electricity. It’s not just losing perishable food since the refrigerator can’t run, but there are no lights, no working appliances, but the worst is not having AC. A few years back the area where I live was impacted by a hurricane. We had no electricity for 3 hot, steamy days. It sucked.
