Just another layer of federal gov regulations.

Stop the federalization of education. NO to Race To The Top.

Get government out of your life.

From your kids' schools to what you put in your mouth, in your garbage can.

Two primary reasons it took the Bush Administration so long to respond to Katrina were called Kathleen Blanco and Ray Nagin. Neither had sense enough to come in out of the rain. National Guard troops were held in Baton Rouge until Blanco found her fat ass. She then allowed to troops in.

It has taken Odummy 55 days to get the show on the road. I wonder what kind of shape this situation would be in if he he had had to contend with those two as Bush did.

Decentralizing is the key to a widespread problem like the spill and Katrina. You want more people empowered to get things done vs waiting for someone completely blind to reality 2000 miles avay making a decision.

Obama is just too stupid & inexperienced to know this simple truth.

Washington is not 2000 miles from New Orleans. Go back to geography class you moron. If big Government with a lot of resources can not get the job done why would you think smaller government with limited resources could get it done? Oh yeah, I forgot, because you are a moron.

All during the Presidential Campaign we told you people Obama is an inexperienced, inept, unprepared man, and you didn't care, you wanted to make history. Well, you made it. You elected a total moron, incapable of ever being President of the United States. Even Hillary, and Biden tried to warn you of his stupidity, saying he would never be ready for that 3 A M call, and Biden said the Presidency is not a place for on the job training. Miss him yet? The rest of us do.

Skeptical public fears oil-spill health issues

Experts say medical risks will be mild, but many people just don't believe it

Images of oil-soaked birds and soiled beaches, combined with a general mistrust of industry and government, are making it hard for a skeptical public to believe there won’t be serious health effects from the devastating spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

For nearly seven weeks, local and national health officials have stressed that most medical risks likely will be mild and confined to workers exposed to oil and chemical dispersants at the source of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

“The human toxicity of oil, it’s pretty low,” said LuAnn White, a toxicologist and director of the Tulane Center for Applied Environmental Health in New Orleans, La.“It looks awful, it’s coating the birds, but the toxicity of those compounds is very low.”

Little danger from tarballs, CDC says

Last week, the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that tarballs now washing up on Florida beaches pose little danger and that exposure to small amounts of oil and dispersants is not harmful.

Still, that has done little to soothe worries among people who scoff at reports they believe downplay the seriousness of short- and long-term health effects.

“Yeah, the water isn’t toxic. Just like the land at the Nevada Test Site isn’t toxic either,” one reader posted on an msnbc.com discussion thread.“When [will] they stop all the lying? Shame on the government and BP. My honest advice is don’t swim.”

“You just keep on believing that garbage,” wrote another reader.“Ask the dying pelicans, porpoises and marine life.”
