i agree it should have been revoked if they are not following up on the patients medically after the procedure. That is putting women in danger. They didnt close the clinic for performing abortions, just not following up on post surgery, which is required by federal law. they can still help women in other ways. birth control, adoption services. The clinic is still open.

They have 30 days to upgrade their post surgery care.

thats all..and I agree its a good law to make sure everything remains safe as possible.

"Agents from the DHH said they found the Hope Medical Group for Women, 210 Kings Highway, failed to administer physicals prior to procedures, properly administer anesthesia or monitor anesthetized patients' vital signs, according to the DHH license revocation letter."

polgara, perhaps you missed these points:

"No physicals were conducted before any of the 14 procedures the agents reviewed, Keck said. He said physicals are necessary before anesthetizing patients who could have complicated medical backgrounds making anesthesia dangerous.
The DHH also found the clinic failed to have a trained professional monitor patients' level of consciousness, respiratory and cardiovascular status after the administration of intravenous medications and sedative gases, among other infractions relating to sedation, according to the letter."

These have nothing to do with follow-up after the abortion. They are putting women in danger DURING the abortion.

and before. I agree the they should be suspended. from performing procedures. Any other medical/doctors offices/hospitals would be in trouble. I am glad they monitor and inspect the clinics. Could you imagine how safe the women would be if this procedure were made illegal? There would be no DDH inspections.

So what other killing "clinics" should we set up next? Suicide "clinics" maybe?

your question was dramatic drivel. ok Ill answer. no to killing clinics. since the clinic in question was a womans health center, dealing with all facts of womens health, and not a "killing" clinic, your question was a moot one. as for suicide clinics..again persons choice. Ive answered your inane questions...now answer the one I put to you.

How dangerous do you think that abortion would be for the woman..if clinics were not regulated?

From the looks of this article, they aren't very safe now. This "doctor" has has his license revoked in several states and yet he is allowed to continue to endanger women-and I'm sure he is not alone in skirting the law.

"since the clinic in question was a womans health center, dealing with all facts of womens health, and not a "killing" clinic,"

If abortion services are offered then they do in fact kill.

Sue wants all the safe clinics closed, too. She wants abortion to be illegalized, thereby creating a black market which will likely be worse than the clinic she's pretending to complain about, here.

The zeal doesn't bother me nearly as much as the dishonesty.
