Obama is challenging Jimmy Carter for title of most incompetent President in U.S. history. It gives me no pleasure to have accurately and repeatedly predicted years ago that Obama is too dangerously inexperienced to be President.

WHY don't the libertarians, the tea-Klanners, and the Lying neo-conservatives all just sit back and "let the market take care of it?" I just don't get their fuss. Their laissez-fair policy is truly the root cause of this disaster. The GOP are to blame for the dead shrimp, the lost vacations, the waitresses losing their homes, the choking aligators... GOP: You made yet another mess; now shut up and let the government handle it. And, remember, blaming President for not capturing the horse after you, the Republicans, left open the barn door is disingenuous.

BIG government is fine--when it helps BIG business. But when it comes to helping little people, little government is better. ‘Big-for-big,’ and ‘little-for-little.' It makes perfect sense.... Sure, all the socialist, eco-commie whackos will piss and moan about dead birds, fish, and marsh grass and fouled beaches, but that’s just a smoke screen to cover up their real agenda, which is to impose unfair, dictatorial regulations on free market capitalism and stop corporations from banking hundreds of millions of dollars in profits each year, which is their right, by God! And just where in the Constitution does it say that animals have any rights? Exactly.... Of course, all those tree-huggers will still want to drive their high-mileage cars to their low-paying, no benefits jobs, and heat their over-mortgaged homes in the winter. If it weren’t for them and their oil addiction, this spill never would have happened. Hypocrites.

Not only am I no fan of Bush, but I voted for Carter and Clinton (the first time.) Unlike you, however, I'm a lifelong Independent and I'm not blinded by ideology. Until now, Carter was hands-down the worst U.S. President, but Obama seems determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

To anyone that wants to find out more about the real Barack Obama, and his ties to communists, socialist, and a deep association with the nation of Islam, get the book called "The Manchurian President" by Aaron Klein. It's a revealing read.

Your not very smart if you think that corporations care about you and your family, they would set back and watch you and your family die for their profits and laugh all the way to their offshore accounts. I suppose you walk everywhere you go and live under a bridge, you are not dependent on oil? Lets face it we all are including you but we have to start using alternative energy and get off Americas drug (oil). We will always have to use oil for grease and moving parts ect. But if we can cut are oil consumption by half that in itself would cut alot of money to terrorist organizations. These oil producing countries play both sides of the fence. Thank you America for buying are oil and than they turn around and give money to the terrorist organizations to keep the middle east up in turmoil, it keeps the oil prices up. Yay!!!! Terrific comment. Accurate all the way through....

Yeah, it’s a terrific comment, except that as it regards my post, it missed the mark completely. I’m s-o-o-o disappointed....

It's so disheartening to read inflammatory post after inflammatory post. So many people with such bitter hearts. Cowards really for typing things that they would never consider actually saying to a man standing before them. Internet heroes, emulating thier talk radio gods without the payoff. Every now and then there are a few pure souls whose intent is not the furtherance of the politics of destruction, but rather viable solutions to the problems confronting our country. Even the belligerent parishioners of the radio gods manage to touch on solutions through their vile and rage filled comments, but their real aim is to excercise hate for the sake of hate. It is not the government that is broke, but rather the people.

BIGBLockchevy ...... How in the world are you showing that anyone is ignorant but you?Conservatives lost? Politics tends to go in cycles, and this fall, you'll see the trend reverse again, and you know it. As for lies about the preseident, that's ridiculous, your on here with your Consevatives are "anti-American" garbage, yet you support a socialist president. A radical, that IS about as anti American in his core beliefs as you can get. I got a life, a pretty good one, and I don't want to pay for someone elses healthcare or be mandated to do anything by the federal government, or have wealth redistributed to people just because some make more. Now that, Mr. Chevy, is some Anti American policies for your ass.

If conservatives think of this as Katrina, they can tell the government they don't need any help and will fend for themselves. Then they can get mad at their mayors and governors for not being properly prepared.

You put your money before other people that need health insurance because you thank it is bad to help pay for someone to get care. Yes, there are some conservatives with hearts black as coal, but most simply recognize a new cultural philosophy emerging in the United States:(A word Topix won't let me post, but it begins with a term of familiarity in rap music and ends with 'tariansim'. This philosophy espouses the view that the people (government) should pay for an individuals needs, while the receipient of the peoples good grace and charity is free to spend thier own money on wants. One case I am intimately familiar with is an individual who requested me to ask a non-profit organization for travel money for her family, while they spent their money on vanity. That is the seed of conservative skepticism to public assistance and social spending. Eliminate the need for that skepticism and you'll find most conservatives are generous souls.
