and with all the 'chuting and para-military training and plane flying and entering into scary areas to pick up loads.. it'd be a heck of a movie just in that!

Gosh, imgagine Drew Thornton's last thoughts as he was plummeting to earth with a jacked-up chute and was it 79 lbs. of coke strapped to him? ow..

I’ve been researching this story for about 8 months now and I feel like I’ve been working at the Kremlin with a 2-headed dog. It started out as a way to better understand the underbelly of Kentucky politics and to gather material for some short stories. But it turned personal when I realized that I had lived only a little more than 2 acres behind a Company airstrip/checkpoint for 3 years in the mid-80s. Ultimately it may have resulted in the mysterious “car crash” of the previous owners son, and a botched attempted murder of my father. I was at the age where I was reading a lot of Hardy Boys, so I remember all of the events pretty vividly. I have also gone to my family and any extended family who spent long periods at the house to corroborate what I remember. I almost don’t know where to begin.
What I’ll state here at the beginning, is that there is little doubt in my mind that these guys were in fact CIA. Check out Alex Constantine little conspiracy website, and consider the career of John Bizzack, former Lex police chief who has consecutively been appointed to high level law enforcement positions in Kentucky since he was implicated in all of this. They even comment on how strange this seems in the book…read Constantine’s webpage and it gets a lot stranger…almost too far out for me to comment on. But this much is a reasonable assumption, as far as arms go, someone took over operations for the Company, because they have never stopped they just laid low for awhile in the 80’s. Consider that the sporting goods store that owned the contract with the Lex police and S&W, and eventually found guilty on I believe 8 counts of illegal international arms trade is still in business, and was bought out in 94 by a known CIA umbrella company. The last we heard of all this on a national level, is when Fed Ex was busted making illegal shipments to countries on the “banned list”, primarily Syria, about 6 years ago. The company shipping stuff was this Lexington sporting goods store (I won’t mention the name just read the book), and it was all stun guns (typically used in interrogations), bullet proof vests, and some other assorted swat gear. Kentucky still collects weapons from its police in the yearly weapons exchange, only now it’s all of Kentucky not just Lex, and sells them to a third party (who I also will leave nameless) who turns around and sells them through an arms dealer…I have a reliable source who can name the exact company, but it all leads back to a suspected A-man in Seattle who has been busted and found guilty or acquitted (doesn’t seem to make much difference either way ) on numerous occasions. Anyway ever since that California bank robbery back in the 70’s when that one guy with a bunch of paramilitary gear took out 20 cops, Kentucky has issued M-16’s for beat cops to hold on too in case of emergency, only returned every year for the weapons trade. This is a fact.
I don’t care about any of that stuff, the fact of the matter is that I grew up in the federal special intelligence community. The CIA serves a purpose and it’s too shrouded for any of us regular folk to make heads or tails of it. The irony however, is that some of those guns being smuggled out of Kentucky at the time were without a doubt finding their way into my own politically volatile community overseas. It’s another story for another time, and I’m trying to avoid the conspiracy aspects. Keep in mind I wasn’t even in high school yet when I witnessed any of this stuff. For whatever reason, my childhood paralleled American politics in the 80’s.

I was in the third grade when we moved into a house in the deep country almost two hours outside of Ft.Campbell. When we bought the house the former owner told us about the gun club ranch behind the house that even had a landing strip for planes to come and go,(an event I eagerly anticipated). They were selling the house because their only child had died in a tragic car accident around Christmas 2 years prior, and they just couldn’t take all the memories. According to local folk lore It was haunted with his ghost, yet another story for another time, I only mention it so whatever Cadiz locals young and old that may read this, will be able to know the house I’m writing about.
Anyway, all of the old hermits living in the area told us it was a KKK Gun Club, I have no idea what that was founded on, but I never saw any evidence of KKK, but plenty evidence of special ops. Pretty much the first year we lived there, at least one or two weekends every month, unfamiliar Kentucky police cars and black cars with tinted windows, once or twice local police cars also, but usually about 6 in total would show up and have a day of automatic weapon target practice. We had to stay inside on those days, because no one wanted to catch a stray bullet. I never did see a plane come and go from the place, but my dad and his military buddies would go do some recon occasionally, because we were all used to being around weapons and war games (*cough*)…indeed there was a little crude airstrip, like we had become accustomed too living in central America. It was located between some dilapidated horse stalls. We lived on the Ft. Campbell flight path and typically saw at least 20 or 30 military planes and helicopter’s a day so it couldn’t have been that big of a secret. What was really weird was that several times we saw small two-seater planes drop off multiple black duffel bags…then usually an assortment of official cars would show up a few days later, have target practice and leave. I was never allowed to go snooping, I would usually just watch from a window with binoculars if no one was watching me. Only two or three times did they ever spend the night at the little stone house on the property. Then things died down the second half of our 3 year stint in that house. Which coincides with the period things were falling apart for “The Company”.

The only other thing worth mentioning is a weird shooting, that bares some resemblance to the buffoonish murder of that judge in Florida. Basically, the story that the local newspaper told is that a group of teenagers had a satan worshipping gang, and the initiation for this 11th grader was to go to a female classmates house, kill her father and rape her. Only upon interrogation the police found that they had the wrong directions, they were supposed to come to our house, but the kid was so nervous, drunk, and tired of walking I guess, that he went to our neighbors house and shot him point blank in the head. He miraculously survived, with just some loss of sensation his face. Could this have been related? After reading the book I’m left wondering.

I’m not so concerned with the death of Melanie Flynn. I think unless there’s a body found, she could very well have taken a job or bribe with the CIA and skipped out on her family…who can say definitively? Without any concrete evidence all we can do is speculate. What I’m more offended by is the idiot good ‘ole boys that were running this operation. If they were A-men, they were really stupid at it. I think part of the problem is that Lexington was such a tight knit community that they had all kinds of doofus amateurs wanting a piece of the action. I really wish I knew nothing about any of this stuff, but they (including John Y Brown) committed so many blatant no-no’s that it’s no wonder they all got shipped up river by their fed connections. Bluegrass Conspiracy is really best used as a cautionary tale about how the CIA operates and how a few arrogant rich kids can really F-things up (take George W for instance.) Like I said none of us can make heads or tails or any morality calls based on few kernels of truth. I have enough contacts in state and federal government, that I can indeed say if I may use my former analogy; working in politics is just like working at the Kremlin with a two-headed dog.
There’s obviously still thousands of people all over the country still paying attention to this story…especially in the wake of the George W cabinets own intelligence buffoonery. Good help is hard to find.

Sorry for the double posting of two paragraphs above. There's just a few loose ends I want to elaborate on.

I did accompany on most of those "recon" hikes...I saw the airstrip with my own two eyes.

Also the day our neighbor got shot, we got a phone call from the police telling us to stay inside because there had been a murder and that the woods by our house were full of FBI and local police looking for this kid, we could see thier flashlights. They were afraid we would try to take some vigilante justice, which is the style of some of those country folk. Are the FBI usually involved like that?

I have some sad but interesting news that I uncovered yesterday. My neighbor who survived an attempted murder by "satinist teenagers" had two sons, one shared the same name as him and he is apparently still alive, his other son died on the Lexington Comair flight.

Some one should tell conspiracy guy Alex Constantine about that, since he has found several profound links between "The Company" and that plane crash. Such as John Bizzacks wife, the accountant for that Lex sporting goods store, and also a guy that was on the 9/11 commish....my neighbor's boy was considered "interesting" do to his business connections. But now anyone can prove that he was the closest neighbor to a Company airstrip besides me. That's a connection no one has considered yet. His family isn't hard to track down, not many folks from Cadiz died on that plane. If you investigate in that area, you will find several corroborating stories to my own. Anybody in that region for more than twenty years can tell you where the compound was, and the airstrip was just over the smallish hill between two narrow horse barns. So you couldn't see it past the horizon from the gravel street(now paved with trash pickup even.)Back then, everyone talked about a mafia presence.

It's very disheartening to me, to think that my neighbor who was almost killed do to what I suspect to be a botched Company hit, also had a child die in a plane crash also mysteriously linked to that organization. This was an honest and good man, a farmer, and may still be alive, I'm pretty sure he was as of 2004.

I've been urged to make a written and videotaped testimony of my childhood experience in that house to be used in the event that I may suffer a mysterious death, disapearance, or frame up, to be given to my lawyer, a judge, and a few trusted associates. Anyone else with any new info about this case should consider doing the same.

These guys have caused so much arrogant and obvious collateral damage that they should realy be put out to pasture by whatever higher ups may be. It's realy a disgrace that harkens back to the KGB, a serious low point in special intel. and we've all been working at the Kremlin with a 2-headed dog.

Amazing..I'm SO glad you wrote back. You _have_ to tell me the other stories including the ghost story surrounding that boys tragic accident. I'm trying to digest all this.. it's like Christmas morning..lol
This story grips you, for sure, and you do find that it connects you personally- if not the 'players', then the places.

omg.. lucky that boy had the wrong directions or whatever happened.. damn..

You have me perplexed and tore all to pieces!!! I'm so curious about that car accident..

And you saw duffel bags being dropped!?

Do you think The Company is alive and well, as in having added newer players when some of the old died out or went to prison?

Your "recon" missions are right up my alley! LOL

And..eh.. nooo. The FBI should not have been involved at all.. looks like someone didn't want your family to see _something_....

Yes, I find it odd that the other boy died in that very connected Comair crash. Dang.. maybe they were spotted spotting? You never know. And I advise you to do that- giving your account- and having it put in a lock box somewhere..make copies.. not just one for your lawyer but put one where no one but your most trusted friend/family member can access it, God forbid, something bad happen.

Please do keep in touch. You've knocked my flip-flops off my feet!

Look up Dennis Patrick from Williamsburg, Kentucky.
This man may or not be alive. He has so many documents. Just check this guy out. Sally tried to get this associate of Dan Lasater, James P. Lambert and U.S. Federal Prosecutor Louis DeFalaise to talk to her. Look him up and find the answers. Mr Charles Hayes had sensitive information about Patrick. Patrick arraigned money laundering through CIA bank facilities.

Thanks Wisegal. I've stayed away from this message board for awhile, because it made me paranoid. When I started reading Bluegrass Conspiracy I never expected to uncover a personal connection, or corroborate a 911 conspiracy theory (see Alex Constantine). When I explained to my parents what I learned from the book they became concerned for my own safety as well. Their hearts also went out to the family of our old neighbor. They revisited that home awhile back, and say it has built up with several new buildings/warehouses all over the property. I don't know if the old stone house is still there or the airstrip or run down horse stables. I don't think the original players are any threat, but whatever opperations they might still be running is what puts me in harms way. Alex Constantine thinks the CIA is running guns through Kentucky still, and based on my personal experience it seems like a safe bet. The simple fact however, is that these were at one time murderous rogue gun runners and possibly A-men, and if so are an example of a total abuse of power. That much is certain.

My family has enough political ties and connections to the intelligence community that if I die in a mysterious crash of some kind, it won't go unnoticed. My childhood was one such that it paralled American politics in many ways. Even before our stint in that house, I had witnessed what I believe was a CIA instigated government coup. I'd like to divulge more but it would jeopardize my anonymity. Anyway coming from that background, my family learned to look the other way and to avoid getting involved. Like I said, we constantly had Ft. Campbell planes flying over us, so it couldn't have been that big of a secret. It was an airstrip in the middle of nowhere. We didn't even have local T.V. at that time because we were so far out in the country, so we knew nothing of the conspiracy. As far as we were concerned it was just another stop on my fathers own patriotic "mission."

wow.. I wish we could talk elsewhere besides a public forum. My email is [email protected] and from there I can lead you to my facebook account.

I think the whole book should be rewritten as I have found that there is far more to the story; and your story needs told, without putting you and your family in jeopardy.

I'm floored with all of this, for a lack of better words. You stay SAFE and contact me if you will.

As for the roads the others posted about, Kelly Lane is off Sugar Creek Road, to the right after passing Lock 8 Road, and is in a southward position that would run sort of in line with MT. Hebron RD., that is on the Garrard County side, and to the north of Lock 8, about half the distance of the ending of Sugar Creek Rd. and Lock 8. There would be some cliffs in that area, I think, it's been years since i was on the river in that area.
As to McGee Lane, as I remember it is not far down Military Pike from Fayette County and the Bluegrass Airport off of Shannon Pike, near Keene. I may be wrong, but I also believe that some of the Brown Family, maybe John Y.'s uncle has or had property in that area. Forgive me if I remember incorrectly.

They were somehow tied in the the Chagra brothers in Texas who were friends with Andrew Thornton who knew them through the late Date Chandler in Las Vegas. These guys ran some heavy cocaine weight in their time, and were closely associated with then Governor John Y. Brown. They brought most of the cocaine back into the country, with the help of the Chagras, using sophisticated equipment to prevent radar detection on runs via plane north to the U.S., and they used John Y. Brown's KFC franchise in South America as a front for shipping cocaine back into the U.S. undetected. I could go on and on with what I know personally, but it would take forever; all the ins and outs of the story. It is a deeply captivating story nontheless. One of the players in the story, Jimmy Lambert, co-owns a chain of jewelry/pawn stores throughout Kentucky called the Castle Jewelry Store.
