yeah I'm being nosey trying to find out info on this.... Just can't believe something like this would have Charlie Howard's name attached to it!
#1. Why would he be transporting any one, let alone a prisoner of the opposite sex, by himself??
#2. I know any one is innocent until proven guilty. But with his possition held, and how active he is in our community , he's ruined. It's inevitable... sad, but true.
#3. I feel so sorry for his child. I would hate to be in her shoes going to school... it's just sad!!!!! prayers be with her through this.

Charlie always lived right on the edge. I can see him doing something like this. He is not the man most people think he is. Yes the sad part of all this is his daughter having to face her school mates/friends.

Well I have to say I do not know him on a " personal " level... all I did know of him seemed to be a pretty decent guy, the kind that would lend a hand if he could. However, I have heard stories , from his past, and stories about the present, and .... Like I said, I do not know him, we speak in passing but nothing more. I thought I was a better judge of character.

The county paid his wife to go with him when he transported females. Where/why was she not with him? This will look bad if this ever makes it to a courtroom.

Yes, that was part of the " stories " I heard today too. My first comment was a question towards that, why would a man be transporting a female inmate by himself. That was just asking for trouble. I saw that he made bond tonight though.

Everyone has a past, some we are proud of and some that we are not. That doesnt make anyone a bad person let alone a rapiest. And his daughter will be going through alot with all that is going on.They have family and friends that will be there for her to help her through it all. Good Luck Charlie we love you.

I've missed the news the last couple of evenings... However, I was told that it was brought up that what "not shocked" had said about his wife being paid to go, and has been getting her pay check and cashing them was brought up on the news the other night. But also, if this was a first time occurance of that, what a "Spoof" that one time, he didn't have some one to go with him, etc... and an accusation like this to be made. Just seems a little too coincidental. I was also told that reguardless of the situation, that if they, meaning Charlie and the inmate, had sex.... it didn't matter if it was consentual... If it happened while in custody, it was considered rape reguardless.... something along the lines of the " inmate" not having the " right ". Something about abuse of power and ...well anyway... just wondering if any one else had seen that on the news or if that was just a nother batch of good ol' Elliott Co. Gossip?

If they had consentual sex, I don't believe they could bring rape charges just because she is an inmate. There could be something along the line of "Offical Misconduct"
