i went to dr o daniel in louisville, i would not recommend him tho because he did a size bigger then what i wanted, and its really hard to find a top appropriate when i take my family to the pool. they are a little too big on my body. im a size 5, with a DD bra size, and for paying $6600.00 i believe i should be completely satisfied. i went back to have them reducted, he wanted to charge me $7255!!! i have alot of friends that go to dr wells and are very happy!!!

I went to dr stephen Shantz in Lexington beside good semaritan.. I got saline for $5500 but silicone is $6500. I went from an uneven barely a on one side to barely b on other to a DD or maybe bigger now. I had mine last June and I am nearly perfectly shaped now. Little pain, he has awesome bedside manner, and the followups are frequent with that included in the full price. It is a surgery center type of office I had it done early am and was home by lunch.. At corner of Nicolasville and Maxwell.. I HIGHLY RECOMEND HIM!!! He told me what was too big for my size and what was a great size. I am 5'10" and weigh 170 lb and I feel my DD+ are good sized for me they balance out my butt size..LOL

I would do several consultations at some doctors before just going to one that someone recommends. That is your best bet..most consultations are free but if you have to pay a little it shouldn't be a problem because you will be dealing wih them the rest of your life:-)

if i were having ANY kind of cosmetic surgery, no matter on what body part ide have more than one opinion. plus who knows u could find someone lil cheaper maybe.
yeah and thats good happy that he told u what would be too big cause ive seen some women who look stupid lol. i weigh 94 lbs, but believe me there are docs out there that would give me DD boobs if i paid for em and wouldnt say word or bat an eye while doing it lol. i have to say and i cant remember his name now lo, i had a plastic surgeon in that same building. diff end tho lol i had broken nose from car wreck years ago and i liked him, thank god i didnt need surgery on it tho, just slightly crooked now and u can hardly tell it

I've really shopped around for years and whether you go half a size or 10 sizes its the same cost . The dr's don't care either way as long as you are happy... I have consulted with some that think huge boobs are the way to go , But seriously Shantz is a considerate puts what you need to feel confident about yourself first. I have heard him in the next room even tell someone They shouldn't go too big for their frame... Also he has suggested other work I may want in the future to accent them later on with age, but no pressure....They have great low intrest financing options also Check it out online.. Care Credit is one of their lenders.. That's who I went through..

Hello Happy,

You sound just like me! I am 5'10, 170 also and interested in DD breasts. I really think they look fantastic on chicks in a bikini sprawled out across the hood of a car in photos online, but I am going into grad school to become a doctor and my concern is not being able to look modest and conservative during times when I want to. Do you find that you have any trouble finding clothing that somewhat doesnt draw attention directly to your chest? I am doing my research for the surgery now and am nervous. I would greatly appreciate any info any of you that have had the proceedure already could give me!

I don't even know where to start! What size are you now? What size do you want to be......dd? How tall and weight? Why do you WANT larger breasts? You especially need to be able to answer the last question sincerely........I'm 5'4" tall and my weight fluctuates between 140-150. I've been big busted all my life! NEVER had a bra that fit and that was comfortable. I have ridges in my shoulders from the pull of bra straps. I have constant back pain. I can barely wear a bra for over 3 hours at a time. I've NEVER worn a halter top, sundress or anything strapless....strapless bras are torture! Sure! I got alot of attention from guys! But those guys are the ones I didn't really want. They turned me off and made me feel somewhat "dirty". Hard to explain that part unless you've been there......Clothing! Forget it. There's a pull here, a tug there, gaps everywhere. You're always top-heavy and never look normal. Shopping, in general, is a bitch because you have to get sizes bigger to fit your boobs, then the blouse is too long in the arms and shoulders. Shoo!! Why would you want that?? I've had 1 breast reduction, but they came back.......Be happy with what you have unless you're "flat chested". I wouldn't want to be flat. I would have a boob job, but HUGE boobs are another matter. A full C cup is really beautiful. Clothes fit and everything is in proportion. You have boobs, but don't look trashy. "Be careful what you wish for because you may just get it", and unhappy afterwards. Good luck. Do your research. HUGE boobs may not necessarily equal sexy.

amen to that BOOBY PRIZE, i had a reduction too and i agree with what you said. I worked plastics for s long time and have seen many breast jobs. Cheaper isnt better and a second opinion means nothing, you cant tell a surgeons skill from talking to him but what you can trust is word of mouth from nurses. I always like Dr Julene Samuels in Louisville because she is female, truly cares about her patients and encouraged nurses to call her any time day or night with problems with her patients and the end result always looked great!

I am a patient of Dr.SChantz,too.You're right about him...he is a great PS. He does make you feel at ease, and it's like he becomes a friend to you.I had my BA in 2007.Though I've had many complications-Capsular contracture 3 times in my right breast, then a hematoma after my last CC surgery. Also had to have the crease lowered on the right side.I just last week finally got the peace of mind(and his agreement)to have him add saline to my right side to even them up...(I think he should have been able to make them even at the initial surgery,it was a whole cup smaller)Now I have lateral displacement of my left side, and have to try and find the $ to have that fixed. Not blaming him for my complications, just saying it can happen.I do like his bedside manner, and he never charged me for any of the later surgeries except the first CC surgery-like $500. Any complication after that,he has been an angel in helping me and I know he didn't have to.Two years after surgery, all the complications and they still make me feel important everytime I go for follow ups,and still doesn;t cahrge me to see him. He's not a bad looking guy either...once you get over the fact that a good looking guy is looking at your boobs and going to be doing surgery on them, you understand he is really good at making you feel at ease. The office and surgery suite is really nice and the surgery team is on top of things. They are really attentive to you when you wake up from surgery and do everything they can to make you more comfortable.Dr.Schantz gives you his cell number just incase you need to reach him...I've called him at 10:00pm and he answered and talked as long as I needed to.
To the person asking what size and being 5'4 and 130-140 bls---That's my stature and I am a large C cup with 450s overfilled to like 550.There's a breast implant forum you can go to to learn more about implants...breastimplant411.co m -very imformative and only ladies allowed.(The adminsitration makes you call a 800 number to be registered.

Anyone thats having that much back pain needs to hit the gym and strengthen those posture muscles. I have worked out 6 days a week for the past two years and I feel like a whole new person. Thats what gives me confidence about supporting the weight of implants. I dont know who you were responding to Boobie Prize, but if it was me I said in my post that i was 5'10 and 170lbs, so huge difference there. Im very lean and muscular. But seriously, before I started working out and just had a desk job and didnt work out and my back and hips always hurt me. Without having much weight in the chest, so I think proper exercise makes a huge difference there. As far as what you said about clothing Im sure thats something to consider. If I go with DD I will plan on having to have things tailored.

Probably should not get in on this.Have you seen the blonde on TV shows recently?Ms.California? She is really pretty and has a great shape. But,as for me, really, this old man always thinks the real thing is the best.Understand ,if you are unbalanced, maybe help would equalize up the clothing. But still prefer the real thing.
By the way,California had augmentation. What can you do with artificial ones?

I think they are more for just for show. I dont know that you can really DO much with them persay. Maybe something that isnt really appropriate to discuss...and thats about it. But the point is boosting a womans confidence in her body and for me I have lost a lot of weight and got big into working out a couple years ago so my chest is somewhat boyish really. And I dont feel that portrays me well at all. I have never had a man make comments that made me feel inferior its more of a self inflicted issue but its just the way I feel. Im sure a lot of other women that get them done feel the same way.

Good luck with any decision you make. This was MY story. Not necessarily true for everyone. Best to you.

I'm also a patient of Dr. Schantz in Lexington, he came highly recommended by a good friend. She and I are both extremely happy with the results of our augmentations. Dr. Schantz is laid back, knowledgeable, and makes you feel very comfortable with any questions you might have. I felt like he was honest when I asked his opinion on the procedure, and I would gladly recommend him to anyone who was interested.

about how much does it cost in total?
was recovery hard and long or were you able to get up and do your thing right away?
After 4 kids and breastfeeding i feel it would help my self confidence to get my boobs done and i think it would please my husband though its not just for him its for me to.
i'm just nervous/scared to get it done and about the cost
any help is appreciated

Dr. Brian Rinker at UK Plastic surgery is extremely detailed and experienced. He did an implant for breast reconstruction after mastectomy for me and then an implant in the other breast to match the reconstruction. This was not simple augmentation and he did a great job. He also did a regular augmentation for my friend and hers look great, voluptuous but not like a swollen fake balloon.
