Let me see if I have this right. Last week The Beattyville Enterprise stated that Joanna charles who is out on bond was okay to have scheduled narcotics in her blood becasue she has precription from Flordia for them. Why does she have to go to Flordia maybe all doctors around here have seen her to often. Maybe that's where part of the 11,000 went to FL. I heard the first trip there was 1000.00.

It's a joke, isn't it? Any idiot knows the best way to cure a problem is to start at the source. Stop the damn interstate drug traffic by stripping away the legality and penalizing the Florida doctors.
I guess the government enforcement has a hard time doing simple math,.. I mean what's wrong with this equation,.. "poor people spending gas/motel/eating out money to go all the way to Florida for a prescription," ???.... bad math a third grader could figure out.

1300 for every junkie traveling down the pipeline... this is a business. we don't dispense those drugs here.. there is no logical reason for why an average person should be perscribed 180 oxy 80's, 210 roxy 30's 90 roxy 15's & 60 xanax... that is a lethal dose and if that person actually took what they were perscribed AS PERSCRIBED
if they weren't hooked b4 they for hella sure would be after taking that scrip.

its all about the $$$$.

I agree with you these doctors around here are too scared to give anyone anything and thats a joke! So when you really to need something your out of luck and have to go to extreme measures like driving 14hrs to see a doctor.

if u can drive 14 hrs. to see a doctor then you def. don't need pain medication...just look at yourself, you are a perfect example of what prescription drugs do to the brain..THEY MAKE YOU A COMPLETE IDIOT !!!

Really I am a LPN and I am not an idiot by any means, I don't think you should comment on anyones situation unless you have been in there shoes. I know how doctors think, and I know a drug seeeker when I see one, and someone who truly is in need of meds. You need to look at yourself and maybe read up on addiction before you start commenting.

If the meds started w/ a legal scrip.for a medical problem and long term. whatever was prescribed originally will no longer help.your brain just needs stronger and stronger. The sad part is the doctors keep prescibing the dose that no longer works and knows that it no longer works.so the patientsales them to buy stronger.thats why the demand is so strong. The people w/the money send these people with no money or very little to get them a bigger bank roll @ no risk.If these people want help and some do they can get it but I think the doctors should make it a little less expensive to get help.Your need for pills is greater for the addiction than ever for the pain. My prayers are with you all because I've never did pills but I have family and I know what your dealing with. thanks for reading this

although i understand from personal expierence my aunt is prescription addict. she wont admit it even we tried to help her. its one of those u can lead a horse to water but cant make it drink. so yes doctors need to be stricter but not so strict u have to be bleeding to death to get pills. there has to be balance...

When you institute a prohibition, you give up all your ability to regulate and control. If you want to regulate and control anything, it has to first be made legal. Then you get the ability to bring your regulations and your controls into effect.

retired, disabled, spend most days in pain due to DJD,fibromyagia, lymphedema, and a few more diseases that really is no ones business but i say this to be able to explain pain meds are needed and like any thing else they can be misused abused and more; but there are people out there like myself who couldnt make it without them and live life as normal as can be and still deal with the pain;I want to be be able to enjoy my family as much as possible as well as take care of my great grandbabies as much as I can; the next step up for me is morphine and i have told my doctors no I will stay with what i am taking for as long as I can; as far as riding in a car 14 hours which I have done, not to get meds; but if it weren't for the meds I couldnt go see the rest of my family once a year; so let us live life the best we can without all the comparing and putting down people who actually are in need of pain meds and keep still unless you have something good to add to the situation; thank you. I know life is tough why make it worse for someone else Dont you have enough to do, in your own life, to take care of yourself without trying to make life harder for someone else, thanks
