I smoke pot on a nightly bases, i have never had any problems at all. It beats all that medication that i can't afford to let me get some piece of mind at night and some sleep. I am not addicted to it, i just enjoy zoning out and being in my own state of mind for a little while. I also like it because i have a eating disorder that i am suspossed to take medicine for that i can't afford either, but weed makes me hungry and i get the sleep i need to hold down my full time job of 7 years and to keep my weight at a healthy 125 pounds. Everyone who talks trach about it need to realize that not everyone who partakes in god's natural grown herb is not a person who is a theif, criminal, murderer, ect. They are infact some people who are hard working that partake in it and still the world goes on as long as no one knows. I just wish people would realize that if they legalized it eastern kentucky would come out of it;s poverty state and prosper. It would also give some of the people who are UNEMPLOYED something to do.. turn on the water dailey and some ferderlizer and collect the rewards to raise A family without poverty... I think it would make kentucky one of the richest states in the united states and open kentucky for tourism.

The world would be a much happier place if we were all stoned. It's relaxing after a long days work. Plus if they sold it legally the taxes the state could make would help em out. Legalize it and lets all just relax. Peace ,love, and happiness, and legal pot.
I'm right there with you on topic and on the sofa later--I'll bring the munchables and call Tess the mess.

There is supposedly a NORML chapter somewhere here in KY, also could contact MPP to possibly get some petitions going to get on the ballot. Currently there is nothing regarding cannabis in the house to consider for medical marijuana or recreational use thereof or commercialization of industrial hemp. Kentuckians are asleep with these issues. We all need to get active and support legalization of cannabis here in kentucky. Afterall it is our God given right!
What is up with the NORML chapter in KY? I have tried several times to get up with someone from there but never any answers or any communication. If we are trying to get it legalized why wont the NORML chapter get involved?

I know this thread is about pot but I have an opinion on the drug issue, which would also include pot. The war on drugs is lost. They get worse by the day. Dealers are getting rich and more come on board daily. IMO if they would sell prescription drugs cheap, not the illegal drugs, and also pot, I think that would do more than anything else that has been tried. People want what is forbidden. I do not think one other person would become an addict than what already is. Dealers would be stopped in their tracks. Users would not have to steal or kill to get their fix. It could be sold the same as alcohol is. Sometimes I don't think they want to win the war on drugs and I sure don't see it happening with what they are doing now. Its just a win win situation if they would try this and the drugs need to be sold cheap so they will be affordable. If they are going to use they will do it anyway, no matter the consequences. It may even deter some users because of wanting what is hard to get. But dealers would be a thing of the past. Even the courts would be freed up with cases and we wouldn't have need for so many lawyers and jails would be emptier. Law enforcement could do what they do best & not have to always be on alert for dealers. What does everyone else think?

A few years back, I wrote a paper called "Why We Are Not Winning The War On Drugs"
First, you can't wage war against an inanimate object. War is against PEOPLE. It's not politically correct, however, to call it the "War Against Drug Users"
You touched on the main reason that the war isn't being won...MONEY. The U.S. could spend considerably less on the fight against cocaine, by going to Columbia, buying all the cocaine and destroying it. The farmers there benefit, and the product doesn't come here.
There's too much money to be lost by other groups, though...law enforcement, lawyers, judges, drug testing, and let's not forget our politicians.
As for stopping the use of drugs...first you have to stop focusing on drugs. Everyone is constantly bombarded with the idea of drugs. It's on tv, in the papers, in the schools, on highway billboards, etc, etc. The big auto companies would love to have this FREE advertising. Yes it's free advertising. If everytime the word drug, or any drug, such as marijuana was going to be used, and substituted the word "frisbee" you'd better be thinking seriously about buying Whammo Corp. stock!!
Just my .02 on why we're not winning the war on drugs.

I am so sorry to hear You lost your job due to this. Did they subject You to a test? This is awful as Your work history should speak for itself. This is why it's so important for the laws to be changed. Good Luck to You hun in all You do.
