Since at&t, took over Bellsouth, the service has went to hell in a hand bag. Get rid of the SBC management philosophy, they'll run the company into the ground.

I certainly have to agree! Since ATT took over, the service level has declined significantly. Calling their HELP DESK is a real exercise in frustration. Customers will start leaving if this continues.

I tried calling in to AT&T and when I hit 7 for DSL support it said "I'm sorry, due to technical difficulties we are unable to transfer this call" and hung up on me. I got the same response every time I called in.

Great customer support AT&T! Bastards.

Hate AT&T , everytime my phone rings I get disconnected from the DSL! 2 Yrs and they still can't fix it!

ATT at work again, as soon as they took over my cingular bill went up $100 dollars month one,$200 month 2 and then i cancelled AFTER getting the credits back in place. they are a rip off company, poor service, poor customer service, and obviouslt out to rip off everyone, check your bills everyone, am sure you're getting the screww too!!

It didn't bother me so much that the service was down a few hours. It was IMPOSSIBLE getting through to AT&T service for any information. If it didn't send a phony busy signal, it disconnected me for over an hour of redialing. POOR SERVICE from another huge Bush-approved administration merger. Bellsouth was NEVER, EVER this bad.

I can't wait to see how much ATT is gonna refund us all for this inconvenience? This seriously affected my ability to generate income for those hours of outtage...
4 hours x $40/hr lost earnings =$160.00.
Yeah; call their help desk and 4 out of 5 folk there will eventually admit that they don't know what they're doing or how to fix your problem - it sucks!

Here's an idea: have the internet go down one night a week. This will force our kids to interact with one another, play games together, or just use their brains and be creative as opposed to being a passive passenger on the information highway.
Our kids are so well connected, they are disconnected. We are raising a society that has no idea how to interact with one another face to face.
Last night, we sat together, watched some TV, and spoke to each other, just like it used to be. No hiding behind the keyboard.
Enough said. Just my $.02.

BellSouth AKA the New AT&T is a horrible company. I recently moved my shop to a new location and they charged me with a $235.00 "installation fee". They have billed me wrong on numerous ocassions and I get calls from them offering up new and cheaper plans. Bottom line "THEY SUCK". If you are planning to open up a business or need telephone and DSL go to COMCAST. I REPEAT GO TO COMCAST. They are a lot cheaper and have a lot better service. I wont be suprised if in 5 years this company goes under or is bought out by the Europeans.

This was the first outage for us since having AT&T. I have to say it was a pain not being able to get online but then again there are other things one can do without the computer.

Bellsouth is the only internet service in my home area. Surely didn't choose them. They never were that great to begin with. Then, they change to AT & T and claim to better their service. Well, I tell you what....they can screw up a two car funeral! Didn't they say they were making improvements? LOL What a joke!!!!!!!

THE NEW AT&T. I hope I am not the only one who remembers the big breakup 20 or so years ago. This is not the new AT&T this is the repackaged AT&T from the past. They sucked then and they suck now. They are trying to sell us on how they are new and improved. There was a reason they split yrs ago and nothing has changed
