Whenever I go to a family gathering or a party with friends, folks usually end up gathering in the kitchen to talk, joke, listen to music etc.

I thought it might be worth a try to start a friendly thread on the Kansas Forum. The only instances I've seen of that happening is when folks post about favorite restaurants, food, and music.

So that is the purpose of the forum ~ post your favorite recipes, restaurants, music, etc.

She can do most any genre well ~ blues, jazz, folk, etc., as far as I'm concerned anyway.
Her voice slides around like a nice trombone !

That is really *nice.* He gets a lot of out that instrument ~ is it a clarinet? I recognize his name.

A friend of mine used to do an old blues & jazz radio program on KANU. I forget what they called it, but his name was Michael Maher. I'll Google it. He had a huge collection of old blues & jazz records, then CDs.

I wonder if you ever listened to his show. Found it. He called it "Vintage Jazz."

My dad would have loved this. He played slide trombone, Sousaphone, tuba, something else ...
And he loved playing in Dixieland bands in his retirement.

HA !~ I originally spelled that Seusaphone ... I guess it was named after the musician, not the childrens' books !![~ Dr. Seuss] ;D

~ Wishing you moments of Peace & Stillness on this Winter Solstice ~

1st Lunar eclipse of the Full Moon on the Winter Solstice in over 350 years

"As many as 1.5 billion people worldwide will be able to watch when the Earth's shadow creeps across the moon's surface early Tuesday morning, the first time in hundreds of years that a lunar eclipse will fall on the winter solstice.

With the full moon high in the winter sky, the lunar eclipse will be visible from four continents, with the best views from North America and Central America if weather permits, scientists say.

Here is an artist that you may find interesting.

I hope you had a nice Christmas. We had all the family home and had a wonderful time. Really pooped but happy! Our kids got us a Wii, I guess they thought we weren't getting enough exercise.

Do you need any leftover ham or pie, or dressing.... Aarg. It sure was good though!:<{)

Did you mean the one about the handmade instruments ~ the "buke"?

Glad you had a good Christmas.
