Kansas governor's PR effort fails with tax plan

Kansas legislators have plenty of policy objections to Gov. Sam Brownback's plan to overhaul the state's individual income tax code, but efforts to sell the package also have been hampered by questions about how his administration has spun its proposals.

How does Mr. Brownback think low-income residents can pay higher taxes when we can barely afford housing, medical care, food and utilities? This was an absurd idea to begin with.

Talk about class warfare. Hey, I have a business of some kind. I do not need to pay any taxes. Oh you work for a salary, pay up now and we will also get ride of deductions you already have. What a deal, nice for some not so nice for others.
