I am just trying to read a few posts and it feels like I am reading lines to the Beverly Hillbillies. For an anonymous blogsite that constantly rips newspapers, one would expect some polished grammar. I guess everyone has the right to post on here. I just feel that if you want people to take you seriously, try completing sentences at a third-grade level.

You want me to complete my sentences at a third grade level? Maybe you should also try to do that. Go back and read the last sentence here. Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house.

I do not believe that Jerry is a threat to anyone so why shouldn't he walk the streets and live like anyone else, after all he did serve his time and he did not make the laws that he abided by. I am sure if you were his ex-wife you wouldn't feel this way!! I worked with her and she was a VERY nice lady who didn't deserve what she got, and was an innocent party! Yet you say he doesn't deserve to have his address printed? What he deserved was a lot more time than he got. God help us all if he gets p****ed again!

Citizen wrote: By the way everyone, he was married to the woman when she cheated on him...hence the killing of the guy she was sleeping with. It was wrong to do but get your facts right. Also, I doubt any of you even know him or have even had a real conversation with him. And do any of you know anything about the legal system. His crime, although wrong, was a crime of passion, not premeditated, therefore he gets a shorter sentence. LIKE ANYONE ELSE WOULD! You are all idiots How about you get YOUR facts straight!! Following excerpt from Greene County Daily World: On March 23, 1984, Cliver, who was a state trooper at the time, went to the home of his ex-wife, Jerri Lynn, where he shot and killed her boyfriend, 38-year-old Donald Clayton, and shot and seriously injured his ex-wife who suffered multiple bullet wounds. Two young children were there at the time but were not harmed. The house, in Dugger, where the shooting took place, was the one Cliver had shared with Jerri Lynn when they were married. Cliver had served as a state trooper for nine years -- his career ended abruptly. Cliver fled. The gun used in the shooting was found near a railroad track in Evansville. The car he was driving was later located at the Atlanta airport and there was speculation that he had fled to Puerto Rico. After an extensive manhunt, Cliver was finally apprehended in Florida in May 1985, and brought back to Indiana. Then in October, about two weeks before Cliver's trial was set to begin, he broke out and escaped from the Sullivan County Jail. Another extensive manhunt began involving multiple agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) but Cliver eluded authorities for another year. The following October, Cliver was caught in Florida after a Florida Highway Patrolman stopped Cliver for driving a stolen car on an expressway near Orlando. Cliver shot the officer in the chest. He survived, avoiding more serious injury because he was wearing a bullet-proof vest, but Cliver got away for a few more hours. Cliver reportedly exchanged gunfire with a Wells Fargo guard who was in the area then commandeered a newspaper delivery van and forced the driver to help him escape. Doesn't sound like a crime of passion... that's when you walk in on your SPOUSE and find them banging someone else... NOT your EX!! He trespassed, shot two people and attempted to shoot a trooper. Now tell me you want him living anywhere near you and that he needs your sympathy? Better yet, why don't you go piss him off and see if you live to tell about it??? MORON!

I can understand why he did what he did. Not saying it was right, just saying I can understand. I don't think anyone needs to worry. I'm sure all his neighbors will be safe. Just stay away from his wife. If you can understand WHY he did this then steer clear of me! You are dangerous and unstable as well. NO ONE deserves what Jerilynn got, or her boyfriend donald!

what the wrote: <quoted text> Too many people are concerned about this loser 'only' getting 20 years. Hell, Mahan killed Whitehead and only got...what 5 years??? Cliver was locked up a lot longer than fellow killer Mahan. Mahan got off damn easy for killing a husband and father, and came right back into the fold of Sullivan... THAT was injustice. 3 years....he got 3 years.....

What he did was a terrible thing and he will pay later with much more than JUST A PRISON SENTENCE.But at least he did serve 20 plus years. What about the politicians, lawyers , and higher ups in this community who have raped , robbed or killed all around us. They got NOTHING and ARE PASSING JUDGEMENT ON EVERYONE AROUND THEM,And WE ARE TO FORGET AND SHOW RESPECT for THEM because of who they are.And what they can do to us and our loved ones.So like I said what Cliver did was a bad thing, but what is happening or happened around us are crimes that never get prosecuted OR TRIED AND JUSTICE NEEDS TO BE EQUAL NOT SELECTED ON WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU ARE AND WHO YOU ARE CONNECTED TO.
