The costs of housing has remained relatively stable over the last decade or two and the cost savings, if any, are NOT passed on to the consumer you clueless twit...double the price? hardly juanita, supply and demand would negate that in a NY minute as no one would be buying them.

You are clueless. A builder simply pockets more profit by paying criminals less money and not paying a business tax, employee tax, or into workers comp to the state. Just another example the state is being cheated by the criminal builder who hires the criminals to work so the builder can make a bigger profit.
My sister works for Pulte Homes and put it simply. The average home in Austin is around $200,000 start to inish, give or take depending on the price of the dirt (location).
Using illegals at $10.00 an hour for the grunt labor and by law licensed plumbers, AC/Heat, and electricians the labor costs saved by illegals on the average home is minimal, usually around 5%. The fines if caught hiring illegals is too high for them to risk for so little return so they do not hire illegals, supposedly anyways.
The profit for the builder on the average $200,000 home is on average $90,000 is it is simply greed of the builder to make an extra 5 or 10 thousand. Far cry from illegal labor cutting the home costs by half, only thing illegals do is cut wages in half for American workers.

Having worked in the electrical field wiring new homes I disagree.

Unfortunately while the builders themselves may not hire illegal aliens, the sub-contractors they hire do hire and use them with regular frequency and I've been told that by many a construction supervisor. The chances of them being caught are slim to none. Until E-Verify is made mandatory and those that fail to use it are jailed and heavily fined, illegal aliens will continue to be used as slave labor.
I make $14 an hour, I wouldn't call that slave labor. That's what my boss pays me, he takes care of all the taxes and paperwork.

I recommend the following words from our Declaration of Independence to the reader as I see many parallels with what is happening in the U.S today with what was happening in 1776.
