DNR takes no action on off-season penning
The illegal penning and mauling of a coyote trapped within the confines of the WCI Foxhound Training Preserve does not appear to be a DNR enforcement priority.

Interesting situation. The similarities are there, but the outcomes so different. And penning a wild coyote for a kind of bad reason gets no response, even after a judge was involved. It would seem that the DNR have quite a bit of "professional judgement" and discretion allowed.

Wow....great comparison, Mr. Interesting. This circumstance was referred to as "canned hunting". The coyotes were acquired legally and released inside a very large fenced in area. There were many, many acres involved as well....not a cage. As I understand it, from reading the articles, The DNR stood against this practice and eventually "canned hunting" became illegal. Not even a single similarity exists between this and the Kidnapping of a fawn and the retention of it for two years in a small enclosure. Gee whiz.
