Medicaid price tag up for guessing

There are 3 comments on the South Bend Tribune story from Feb 25, 2013, titled Medicaid price tag up for guessing. In it, South Bend Tribune reports that:

The cost of health care for an additional 400,000 low income residents is something nobody in the Statehouse seems to be able to nail down firmly this year, even as the crucial decision about whether to expand Medicaid bears down on lawmakers midway through their annual session.

Well, I added up all those figures, sweetheart, and it looks like you have $1500/mo in bills and $2900 income. You should be making it. After all those figures, you should still have $1,185 to spend. Why CAN'T you afford health insurance?

Here's an idea: tell your kids to get books from school, because the cable is getting shut off. Or cut your service to bare bones. Your kids won't die, and neither will you.

Cut back on your electric bill. That's obscene, unless it's both your heat and your cooling as well as lights. Then, that's pretty reasonable.

Is there a reason why your insurance is $174? I have two drivers on my 2004 ford Taurus and don't spend more than $60/mo for it with Geico. You are being screwed.

So why isn't $1100 enough money for you after the bills are paid?

Lets see Russia1513, your $60 a month from Geico is bare min coverage and if you get popped in a serious accident you will wish you had better coverage. Or maybe you get hit by an uninsured driver, your $60 policy will have you wondering.

The electric bill, cut back? How do you know what she is doing, or how big her house is in order to have that bill.
