Black churches come to terms with Obama-Wright schism

In black churches across the country Sunday, pastors and parishioners tried to reconcile their hope to elect Sen. Barack Obama president with their respect for his controversial former pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

These pastors (if you wish to call them that) and parishioners are all share the same mentality.

There are not enough blacks now to out-vote everyone else. The damage is done, it is irreversible. A racist does not change over-night. Racism took a foothold with this bunch in the 60's and flourished to the point of no return. It is ingrained in their personality.

Osama Obama's arrogant bevavior tells it all. All the drama lessons, all the body language courses will help no longer.

Go back to Kenya and preach your American racism there !!!!

Rev. Jeremiah Wright is Right about how U.S. Government Uses Blacks for Medical Experiments, Including AIDS

Obama sticks his head in the sand
Barack Obama, for his part, is now pretending the U.S. government never conducted medical experiments on blacks, or that it's "un-American" to even talk of such things. These are the typical lies you'll hear from any politician running for office, especially when that office is in a country where 99% of the people have been kept in the dark about these matters. In reality, I say it's un-American to treat black people in the way they've been treated throughout American history. I say that all of us -- white, black, Hispanic, Asian, Hispanic, etc.-- have the right to be treated with dignity, with respect, and with our basic human rights intact. No person, no matter what their skin color, should be used for medical experiments, and when those experiments have taken place, it is the duty of honest citizens and the few remaining honest journalists to publicize those events in order to help ensure they never happen again.

Obama was quoted in the press yesterday as saying about Dr. Wright, "But when he states and then amplifies such ridiculous propositions as the U.S. government somehow being involved in AIDS.... There are no excuses. They offended me. They rightly offend all Americans and they should be denounced."

In other words, Obama is saying that anyone speaking out about the U.S. government's exploitation of blacks and its involvement in the AIDS virus should be denounced. Note carefully that he did not say the U.S. government's medical experiments on blacks should be denounced! Rather, the people warning others about such activities should be denounced!

Or, put another way, Obama wants people to just shut up and pretend the U.S. government never committed these evils against blacks. He doesn't want the truth to come out. He's running for President, after all, and it's better to just whitewash important issues than to have to deal with them honestly and openly.

Rev. Wright is telling people the truth about how the government has treated blacks, and it makes Obama nervous. Obama is living in a state of denial, which is actually great practice for becoming U.S. President. Those skills will come in quite handy during future press conferences. What better way to become the first black President of the United States than to deny the history of how the U.S. treated blacks in the first place?

Blacks also had a hand in the Tuskegee experiment!

Though the study was organized and run from Washington, the participants dealt with a black nurse named Eunice Rivers. Rivers helped with transportation to the clinic, free meals, even burials. And when one man came to Birmingham to get a penicillin shot, she followed him there, making sure he didn't get it.

Conspiracy theories aside. Wright brought back memories of getting harrassed, hair pulled, smacked and insulted by black kids in school for being white.

Racism is real, the problem is that these days the victims are white. Normal people know better than to judge everyone and make generalizations based on a few. But, Obama obviously has serious ties with those kooks and there is no way anyone like that can't win a national election.

I was a victim of racism but I would never allow myself to be bitter or victimized because of people that are simply dysfunctional. Resentment is a poison that destroys the soul. There is NOTHING Godly about it. I don't hate, or even dislike, Wright or Obama, but I don't want them in charge of our country either.

Rev. Wright isn't saying nothing that anyone in a black neighborhood can't go into there local barber shop and hear. But that's the problem what ever truth/stretch of the truth he maybe speaking what business does it have in the pulpit? If he wants to stand on a street corner speak at a rally or some speaking engagement that's fine, but using the time that is meant to preach the word of God to preach HIS message of civil (W)rights just isn't right. He has a right to express his opinion like everyone else but the manner in which he is doing draws the type of negative attention that in my opinion may have hurt Senator Obama's campaign.

Which lead me to this point this country will NEVER have a black president. We will have a president who happens to be black but for any person who is a minority to become the leader of the free world if they are not viewed in the eyes of the Majority as someone who they feel will lead the country in an unbiased way that person won't be elected. You can't be exclusive as a minority you have to be inclusive. If we as a race want to see an African American president we cannot expect him to come out endorsing conspiracy theories or even the ugly truth of Americas past civil rights violations he will have to take the stand of every other president. Denounce it as an atrocity maybe issue an apology but that's as far as it will go. Don't look for hand outs, reparations, tax breaks none of that. Look for that person to perform the duties just like most other presidents but in the case of Senator Obama in my opinion he has brought a different type of energy to the race and if he were to get elected we would see major changes but it would be change for the better of the American people just not one race within the whole.

You should have read some of Jerry Falwell's from the 1950's and 60's. Some still share the same mentality.

maybe the next generation will stop programming black and white kids to hate each other. i am white and i grew up in the 1960's i have numerous african american friends. we went to school played at the playground during the summers. had plenty of sleepovers. we genuinely had a lot of good memorable times growing up. stop this nonsense now and teach our kids to love and respect each other and break this offal cycle. i know problems still exist, but we must start somewhere. are'nt todays kids worth it ????? think about it !!!!!!!!!!

Like they really went in and sat in every black church last sunday. They come up with this stuff so unrealistically. My pastor hasn't once mentioned any of the non-sense they claim black churches are speaking out about. Everybody can't speak for Everybody!

I am white and I have never been picked on because I am white.

I doubt I could say the same if I was black.

Some of this rascist bigotry is as scary as h... and I hope my children are not reading this rampant bigotry.

I listened to all of Rev. Wright's remarks last week. I thought that he made a whole lot of sense about the mentality of America. He's not going to please everyone, but he sure gave you something to think and talk about. The American people better quit complaining and get out and vote. America is great, but the mentality of Washington is making our country poor and sick. We the people, by the people, for the people. American's have got to become responsible. Stand up and take back America. It's our responsiblility to bring back products made in the USA. I'm an educated white woman and I saw Obama in person. He's very charismatic. My vote goes for him, because I believe he's got the right message and power to change America, for the better! Vote for Obama and make your voice in your vote count.

The message of Christianity is forgiveness. When we look at what Christ, our great example, the creator of all races, did for us, we should be humbled. Colossians 3:13 tells us "bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." His way is the only way true peace will come. We are all in the same boat, no matter what color God made us. We are all sinners and need forgiveness. This life is short and one day we will stand before Him, the author of true love. Do you think he is pleased with the way His children are treating one another? We are on equal ground with each other and we need to ask Jesus to forgive us and then turn from our wicked ways and begin to show God's love to all people as he has commanded us to do. Matthew 22:37-39 says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." If we truly did this it would be a wonderful world. Why don't we all give it a try.
