i have been a moderate player for 30+ years. In
the last 2 years i have noticed a big reduction in winners for the scratch off games. the last 30 win for life tickets i bought not even a free ticket winner. Anyone else notice this? Me thinks the state is trying to get more money out of this without telling us. THE CORRUPTION CONTINUES.

The Illinois lottery, just like everything else in Illinois is a scam! If you ever look at the videos of the drawings, they always zoom in on the number so that you cant see the balls that are supposed to be bouncing around in the shoot. There always seems to be a little "delay" in at least one of the balls and this one ball is always the deciding factor for thousands of players with regard to whether they win or lose.

I have watched and analyzed it for far too long and I have done research on it. Watch the videos for yourself

I agree! My boyfriend and I live 4 hours apart, both in Illinois. We've been noticing this for the last year or so. Lots of scratch tickets, no winners. Not even the free ticket winners. I think the state has some explaining to do....

We’ve decided to play win for life lottery tickets just to see how they are. We’ve been playing win for life for weeks now and have started to wonder why we can’t even win a free ticket after all those tries.
Today I went in to buy two $2.00 tickets for my dad and one $5.00 ticket for my mom They are each 88 years old.
After I bought the tickets the man behind the counter who always sells out tickets said to me.“I don’t trust those tickets.”
I asked why and he said.“I’ve been selling those tickets ever since they came out and I’ve sold tons of them and never once has anyone won anything worth spit.”
I figured that had to be just random bad luck, but I went on line and googled it to find many complaints about winning Illinois Lottery scratch off tickets being suspiciously rare especially the win for life ones.
What’s going on?

Look the State is in deep debt, so they have to cheat people out of their money. Face it they blew all your tax dollars and the only way to recover is with more of your money. Happy lottery playing.

my problem is the lottery can be 18 mil with now winner, 6 of 6, next the 5 of 6 player gets 1,000!!
4 of 6 get $36.00,

this is BS, how can it drop to 36 dollars.

they need some prize adjustments. where to we complain???

I DO agree because,#1, who polices them? What would stop them from cheating? I buy these scratch offs all the time, of all denominations, and it HAS to be a scam!!!! I have never been so unlucky in all my life. I hardly ever win anything. Meaning out of the last 30 $2-$5 tickets, I haven't won ANYTHING!!!! I simply have to stop playing them. They're a joke. Furthermore, what about the actual lotto? Even just getting 3 numbers out of 60 panels seems IMPOSSIBLE!!!!. This cant be happening to me!

Yes I've been noticing it too. I'm 19 & the first time I bought a 1$ scratch off I won 30$. Now I can't even win a free ticket. Every Friday is pay day & I waste 10 dollars on BS tickets & don't win a single dime. Somethings going on...

So what it’s a scam? You’re getting something for your money. You’re getting the fun of hope to become rich, a ticket to scratch off so what you’re not going to win it big. Did you really believe Illinois was going to run a clean game? Come on now you know better than that.

I've been playing the $1000 a week for life scratch offs since they came out. The most I ever won was $10 (one time). Every once in a while I'll get a $5.00 winner, but even that is rare. I buy my tickets at a local liquor store. The owner told me he used to own a liquor store in Missouri and sold many big $$$ winning tickets, but none since he's been in Illinois. He said, the biggest pay out he's ever had on Illinois lottery scratch off tickets was $100, and he's not had many of them.

One hot MILF, she'll still be looking hot 10 years from now!

Yep, I'm madly in love, just like about 20 million other men!

it is most definitely a scam. I moved to Chicago 2 years ago from Ohio. In Ohio I won so many times of $500 or more (even $5,000) And when we've gone back home to visit I have won $1,000 twice and $500 once. In the 2 years I have lived here I haven't won anything. Once I was determined to play the same $5 ticket till I won....it took 16 tickets to win $5 back. This is beyond insane to me!! It is a scam, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I have to agree with everyone else, the Illinois Lottery, likes its Politicians and Casinos are all Corrupt and full of you know what. I have lived in Illinois all my life (52 years). Up until a couple of years ago, you would at least win $500.00 once in a while. Up to 2 years ago your lucky if you can win $5.00. What happened? I think everyone should stop playing lottery for a day to see what would happen, probably the same thing that is happending on wall street, NOTHING.....
As for me, forget the Lottery, I'll leave what little money I make and put it under the mattress like one of the previous writer said and at least at the end of year I'll have something to show for it......

My sister bought a $1000 a week for life and didn't win of course. She proceeded to scratch off
the whole card to see what number 'was' the big payoff. Low and behold....there wasn't one. The $1000 wasn't even on the ticket! I think that is false advertising. I would also like to know why there are so few downstate winners. Yeah I get the theory of more tickets sold in the big city....but come on!!! I think 'corrupt Illiois'(i.e. past Governors) should be forced to move their lotto home base and hire all new employees once a year. Only then will we know if Chicago had some kinda deal with the mob. Give the downstate crooks a chance to swindle taxpayers for a change. Our state capital has been Chicago for decades, not Springfield. What say you Quinn?
