Iowa gov. may need to OK Medicaid abortion funding

Jun 7, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Peninsula Clarion

Catholic, anti-abortion Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad could soon find himself in an uncomfortable position: He may have to sign off on payments for every Medicaid-funded abortion in his state.

This law is unconstitutional.this law of abortion rights are immoral.Killing and unborn is murder.Gov .Terry Branstad will not do this If Catholic.God's law is higher than mans made laws.If the governor does approve abortin funding, then he is not a Catholic.A catholic is governed first by the gift of Counsel of theHoly Spirit. And does not conform to the world's view.Catholics need be informed not conformed in the world.Abortion is an abomination.Catholic means universal.May all Catholic,s and the pro-life,and every, who loves and obeys God'sWord;pray for the Governor Terry. It is written ,what is it that a man gain the whole world, then lose his Soul.God bless youTerrry and do what is right.

Why should normal people have to live according to the dictates of the vatican cult? Mind your own business. No one is being killed or murdered. It's a legal, legitimate medical procedure. Get over it!!

If it is ok to let Catholicism to control our laws then it is ok to let Muslim Sharia law do it.

one living God.God's law above any religious or man made laws.Making something legal does not make moral. Not judgeing.Be aware and understand the consequences of the choices that are made effect oneself and others.Gov .Terry isCatlolic, but that is not the issue,if I were an atheist,I feel abortion is killing.Watch the videos of how kill alive unborn humans, right in the womb and sometimes after born.Called a medical procedure does not justify abortion. We have free speech,I speak up as you do, We just disagree. Also, a person need not have to make a choice between their job and violating their beliefs in moral law. When this legal medical procedure is in conflict with their any religious. Views, and is made to comply or be fired;that is unacceptable.I am entitled to my free speech,so do not tell me to mind my own business.Your comments are welcome,as are mine.

Why are'nt birth control pills illegal then ??????? Many of them simply prevent the implantation of the egg. Or are you one of these people who think a condom should be illegal too. There is not scientific, legal or medical basis for what you said a fertilized egg is not a person except in your imagination. Keep your religious beliefs to yourself and quit trying to run other people's lives.

Gee, am I running anyone's life? I stand by what I said, a FERTILIZED egg is a human. That belief has absolutely NOTHING to do with birth control, which I believe in. If you choose to deny a fertilized egg is HUMAN, that's your ignorance. When you prove it's something other than human, let me know since I'll need to ask my niece who's pregnant if she's carrying a goat or a human.

Pro-aborts like to make dismissive and illogical, morally flawed arguments about the small size of the unborn human being, the implication being that the smaller the human being, the greater the supposed justification for killing her. Size, level of development, environment, and degree of dependence are morally irrelevant in deciding whether anyone, born or unborn, has a fundamental right to life.

The unborn is smaller than the newborn, who is smaller than the toddler, who is smaller than the teenager. They're all the same human being. Human development consists of stages along a continuum, none of which endow the human being with characteristics that change her from nonintrinsically valuable to intrinsically valuable.

The human being in the womb
1. is human in the biological sense; she has 46 chromosomes and is a member of the species "homo sapiens"
2. is alive and growing. From conception until death, no new genetic information is needed to make her an individual human being. From the beginning, she's a whole organism, with certain capacities, powers, and properties, whose parts work in concert -- because they're self-directed by her -- to bring her to various levels of development in and out of the womb.
3. is dependent, in and out of the womb, on the same things you and I are dependent on: oxygen, food, water, and a healthy interaction with her natural environment. Her development, in and out of the womb, are in accordance with her given nature that is present at conception. Where she is (in her mother's womb) is also morally irrelevant to *who* she is. Her residence in the womb is a geographical fact, not a moral judgment. A newborn in an incubator is not worth less than one in her mother's arms, or one who is a week younger and still in her mother's womb.

Only artifacts (clocks, cars, computers) come into existence part by part. Living beings come into existence all at once. Because one can only develop certain functions by nature (a result of basic, intrinsic capacities) because of the sort of being one *is*, a human being at every stage of her development is never a potential person; she is *always* a person with potential, even if that potential is never actualized due to premature death or the result of the presence or deformity of a physical state necessary to actualize that potential.

Question for kaylay and the other pro-birth folks here:

It's noon, so you head over to your favorite lunchspot. You sit down and order your usual, the fried chicken. The waitress asks if you'd like a newspaper or some crayons while you wait; you choose the crayons and begin doodling scenes of the Rapture on the paper placemat.

Soon, your waitress returns with your lunch plate and refills your water. You look down and immediately notice that instead of fried chicken she has brought you a fried egg.

What do you do?

To:Pro-life,thank you To:demystifying liberal myth,thank-you.May I add a truth ,Life,Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. As protection of all human life from conception to birth to all the way up to the elderly. This is what is written. The world needs to get back to the truth, and moral standards. Now To Steve,What would I have for lunch, fried chicken or fried egg? What is your point?A hen is in the animal kingdom,it has an egg from the animal.Humans eat animals,we do not eat,or fry up a human embryo's for a snack. Not yet, that I know of,although scientist are growing part human part animal, they say for several reasons, one possible food supply.I will return and share a link on that.
