Senate Committee Passes Nuclear Energy Bill

The panel approved the measure 8 to 7 Tuesday night. It would allow MidAmerican to ask the Iowa Utilities Board for a rate increase from the company's customers to fund the cost of permitting, licensing, and building a plant.

Who's back yard are they going to put it in??
This will go down as one of the biggest scams ever in IOWA. Big bucks , big lobbyers.

I will move to wherever they put it so it can be in my front yard. Almost everyone who has a nuclear power plant in their back yards now is fine with it.

Mine too. Well paid, educated, nuclear plant employee make excellent customers.
