Who is responsible for this issue not getting a vote by us? Rep Keene looked out for his constituents but no one in Camden did likewise. Could it have been Cecily Hill that dropped the ball?

Seems as I recall this being discussed. Most seemed against it. Now we see the Gov. signed the tax break for another county.

Now she was much too busy getting ready for that group picture when Smith was giving away $100,000.00 to Georgia State from the seized assets to be thinking about a litle tax relief for the Camden taxpayer.

Then Smith wanted the county commissioners to buy the 5 Crown Vics that he could have bought with the $100,000.00 that he gave away. Thanks to the 3 county commissioners that told him no.

I can't buy your second paragraph because he does not have to buy cars with that money.

If Berry is trying to push the issue about using seized asset funds to buy patrol cars, he will loose that battle. I think his plan is to drag it along until after the election.

So cousin fudd, you would rather that you and I as taxpayers pay for 5 new Crown Vics? You are correct, Smith does not have to buy cars with the money, but when a few months later Deputy Seaward appears before the county commission and tells them that the road deputies are driving "dangerous vehicles"; he DAMN sure should have.

But Smith got his name on a plaque on a wall at Georgia State University and his picture in the newspaper and this shows me that he could give a $hit less about his deputies and the taxpayers.

So don't worry about "buying" my second paragraph, but be assured that you and I and the other taxpayers of Camden County will be buying some Crown Vics next fiscal year
