There is an issue of race here ,it bases itself around the content of ones character, and who you know as it is in many small communities. However change comes with effort,if there is effort on your part to make the dream reality. It is one thing to speak on the negative but what are you doing to bring about a difference? Are we looking to fix the issues in Hinesville or have we gotten comfortable sitting at our computers on our phones discussing. Get about the business of doing something other than just bashing, cause you reside here to and eveyone needs to WORK at making this a better place after all talk is cheap.

Iam not from Hinesville, GA, however my family resides there and have been there for many years. I have been down to visit on several occassions, been many places shopping and etc, and in no way do I or did I find anything wrong with there. I met many people white, black, oriental, mexican and other people of different nationality, and I found all to be friendly, kind and caring. I just do not see it. I am a fair person, and I love people of all races. The place you do not want to live is VA.

I believe that there are a lot of young people posting this stuff. I'm not from hinesville but moved here after retiring but since left.I didn't see any racism there at all and I can truely tell you what it is.My reason for leaving is beacause its too slow and they fail to thrive may it be white, black, or other.Hinesville is no place to live out a dream but more or less, get caught up in one with the drugs and negative thinking.

My advice is to leave and stop waiting on handouts."Get smart" and everything will be easy for,I will pray

with fort stewart positioned side by side, Hinesville is multi-culteral. The area used to be primarily African American slave decendents from the plantations. There remains trust issues with Whte people. The African Americans, Hispanics etc...seem to have strong family bonds. In the African American population, the mother is the ruler of the roost. Unfortunatly, the men seem to lacking in leadership in the lower socio economic layer. Communities are what you make them. Negativity breeds negativity

I am Mexican-American and live in California. My son is serving in the U. S. Army and is stationed and living near this town. We are NOT illegals. We are United States citizens born and raised here as a 4th generation family working hard to make a living and contributing to our community. Being raised in California and now living across the county, my son has has a rude awaking living in Hinsville, GA with exactly what is being discussed here-discrimination and racism. It is a disgrace to read all these postings and see that most people are in denial about what is going on there still in 2012. Some of you can appreciate someone (African-Americans, hispanics, whites, etc.) fighting for your country and all it stands for but unfortunatley back at home the hatred that is considered to be in other countries is also alive and thriving in all of us here at home.
GOD help us.

The ones who are wrong are the ones who treat others shitty according to skin.I'm here and I get treated like shit by every one.this is a angry place with hateful people.its discusting and frustrating to move to a place where people still get away with racism.where I'm from they all would be dragged into court.no matter the color.its illegal in every state to act these ways..Hinesville is just one of them places its ignored.cops don't enforce the law coz then most of them are just as bad if not worse.law enforcement is where the legal break down started.and continues

I have read alot of the post about hinesville, I dont live there but racism is everywhere, It does not matter what color your skin is, God created this earth for everyone there is not one person on this earth better than the other. We are to love every one as we love ourself's. I do believe if you are gonna live in Ameria you should be here legally, pay taxes and given the same opportunities as people who were born here.
