Oh gawd.
Everyone halt all fun and merrymaking! We have a hippy with fragile sensibilities who needs our support.
Go read some Jack Kerouac or Hunter S. Thompson if you need a mental pick-me-up. That or smoke grass/shoot smack in the eternal words of Dr. Thompson.
This is f*cking bat country.
If by 'fragile sensibilities' you mean tired of all the hate and ugliness, then yes, I guess you're correct.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Please, don't encourage the "nut", as he has come to be known. He is the most bigoted and racist troll you will find here, especially directed towards anyone from east of the Mississippi, and south of the Mason Dixon Line.
Thanks for the info.

Like every other thread on Topix, one about the beauty of this part of the country has become a hate-fest.

Yes, boredom would be preferable.

and,

To Lanius LaForte: Love your avatar.

Are you sure you know what my avatar is?

It's literally for summoning a demon.

Summoning demons is an interesting hobby.

Do you want me to be skinned, flayed, barbequed/battered and fried and had for lunch tomorrow afternoon? I live in the Deep South Bible Belt, you know!

Oh, well. I thought it showed nerve and innovation in posting an avatar and made a statement. And yes, I knew what it is. I like diversity and am not judgmental of how anyone believes unless they are trying to tell me I have to believe as they do or be tortured for eternity. I get right nasty after that point.

And on top of that, I know a lot more than I let on, primarily because I don't want to end up on the barbeque at one of the local establishments.

So you summon demons? Might I ask why?

The brisket should be done just before gametime. The drinks are on ice. The big screen is on the dec; we are ready for some football.

I don't have a demon summoning avatar. I ride horses.

Instead of watching a bunch of felons, getting drunk and loading up on fat and cholesterol, why don't you go outside and get some exercise? No wonder the south is the epicenter of obesity.

Glad to hear there are fans of Astaroth out there. Demonology is fun for the whole family.

I wasn't so much making a statement with it more than I was throwing clues to interesting taboo lore out there for anyone to look up.

Glad you liked it. I was considering replacing it with the seal of Pazuzu for fun.

I thought you were attracting demonic personalities with some kind of welcome mat symbol.

Well, you're the one who said it was an interesting hobby. How would you know if you don't do it?

I read the 6th-11th books of Moses out of curiosity. I think that's where I saw your avatar.

I like to know about what other people believe, and like I said I am not judgmental about it. The Constitution belongs to every American no matter that some think it's only for them.

I had to look up Pazuzu, but I couldn't find a sigel for it.

Demonic personalities? I don't believe in 'demonic personalities' but I guess there are some who do. Under the Constitution of the United States of America, you have the right to believe anything you wish, no matter how silly it sounds to others.

Have you gotten any fresh apples in N Ga yet? They're great this year.

I haven't noticed anything special about N Ga apples this year, but have seen what seems like an unusual number of snakes. Also noticed stray cats are everywhere, especially in drain pipes.

Thanks for the warning about snakes. I'll be careful walking in the woods here.

I only have one cat in my little neighborhood that frees himself from his human now and then to prowl around, mostly at night.

I haven't yet gone up toward the TN border, so haven't seen the trees up that way. Not much to see where I am at the moment.

We have a huge acorn crop this Fall and squirrels are nuttier than usual about nuts. Maybe winter will be colder and/or longer this year.
