My wife and I spent a week in the mountains about 2 weeks ago and the leaves hadn't turned, but the apples were ripe.

There's nothing like cider from N GA.

I have a recipe somewhere that I drag out every year or so that calls for apple cider. I marked 'GA apple cider' in the margin of the recipe.

Thanks, hon. I've had a long, hard day today and that was great for a laugh.

There has to be at least one 'haven' on Topix where we can all at least be civil to each other and leave the discussions of other threads there.

I'm all for just enjoying talking about my state and thinking good thoughts about fall coming. The mornings are now so cool and nice to sit out on the porch before daylight and watch as the stars disappear and the sun start shining.

Due to the extremes in my life right now, a calm place where we can just talk about apple cider and the beautiful views up in the mountains kind of soothes over the bad things that you have to deal with in life.

Oh gawd.

Everyone halt all fun and merrymaking! We have a hippy with fragile sensibilities who needs our support.

Go read some Jack Kerouac or Hunter S. Thompson if you need a mental pick-me-up. That or smoke grass/shoot smack in the eternal words of Dr. Thompson.

This is f*cking bat country.

Sorry you find yourself here. You see this is hillbillies hate black people world. From Littlenuts to private booby lee, it's all about hatin' what they call "Simians". Hard to believe today, but they are the most malevolent people in the US. I call them the Southern Taliban. You need to go find the Unicorn thread. Sorry.

Please, don't encourage the "nut", as he has come to be known. He is the most bigoted and racist troll you will find here, especially directed towards anyone from east of the Mississippi, and south of the Mason Dixon Line.

Southern Taliban, funny. I would like to hear why Ciderhead is stuck on her front porch before dawn. Did you hear Mitt talking about his new experience eating cheesy grits?

If you bunch of naysayers and negative nellies are representative of the Fannin population, I'm glad to be leaving town soon. Personally, I find no harm in a little lighthearted conversation and enjoying our beautiful surroundings. Never considered it unicorn chasing before but if that's what you folks think then you must lead very negative lives and you are missing out on a lot of peaceful joy. "Take time to stop and smell the roses" has more value in it than you think. It might even lower your bloodpressure and help you stay around longer to spout your misguided wisdom.

I get that, a dictator in a TuTu is an especially offensive fraud, no wonder she has to stay out on the porch.
