well the left tells us hispanics dont have ids....umm, my gal is hispanic, she has one...... im hoping a repub will come out and propose free ids for hispanics...lol...j/k, thats what the left would want, then theyd turn it around and tell us repubs are the ones who say hispanics dont have ids, then accuse them of racism...we know how the left functions....hey, maybe just give out free id's to every citizen? we have so many on the dolle, i find it hard to believe they dont need an id to attain those freebies..... no id no drive, no entry..no voting...sounds like the left is telling us all hispanics are illegal or something, so it isnt an issue, theyre not supposed to vote .... it is harder to fix the elections if they play by the rules... they know it, not all of us are so stupid not to see it..... insulting how obama and the left think ALL of us are such idiots....

Don't be intimidated by the fact that your grandchildren will be speaking Spanish.
Nah, not going to happen. The country, no matter if it is the USA or the North American Union, will still speak the language most used in the world for business, science, technology, and success - English.

No one studied Spanish in the private university I attended. They didn't even offer it as a language class unless at least three students requested it. No reason to. In all my years there, only one woman studied Spanish, and she had to beg for Spanish courses to be taught. The university ran out of things to teach her, because even extensive courses on Spanish literature, art, language and philosophy didn't make a full undergraduate degree plan of any value.

So fine, if you want to work in hispanic companies, learn Spanish. It would be nice for Americans to sue the pants off of discriminating companies, though.

I'm an independent in all things political, so you can't call be a liberal or a conservative. Sorry.

As for how much it cost me to attend college, since my university didn't offer any summer courses or allow the transfer of summer courses from other institutions, I was free to work and earn my tuition money from May to September each year. I'd already worked in corporate America and had knowledge/skills that earned me quite a bit of money during that time each year. That, plus private loans paid my tuition.

The Hispanic population grows exponentially and though the majority of them do speak English they also speak Spanish. I don't have to show you statistics on this as you're well aware of this fact. It's only a matter of time before this nation officially becomes a bilingual nation and our grandchildren will be smack in the center of it. You can give me the latest buzz on why it won't but what you cannot stop is the exponential growth of todays Spanish speaker in the USA.

So what do you plan to do? Make more unenforceable English only laws? Kill Spanish speakers?

Learning Spanish or other foreign language is a skill in the workplace and one can even receive extra pay for knowing a certain language.

I work around people who speak Tagalog, Burmese, Spanish, Arabic and English. Now they all speak English to me but guess what? I learn a little of each language at times.

Why deny yourself the opportunity to broaden your linguistic abilities?

Is that todays Patriotic thing to do? Be dumb?

I studied other languages because my field required that I do so. None of those languages were Spanish. Spanish was as useless for me to learn as learning Swahili would have been. My situation hasn't changed, so I won't be learning Spanish in this lifetime. No need, no desire to do so.

Not learning Spanish doesn't make one dumb. Learning Spanish because a lot of invading Spanish-speaking enemies refuse to learn the language of our sovereign country would be dumb.

If I were you, I wouldn't be so sure of that. We haven't fought the coming war yet.

You are like others of your ilk - spewing propaganda that makes you look really, really ignorant.

No one stops anyone from speaking any language whatsoever, and you know it. English only laws pertain to government publications/records, businesss and schools. You can always speak any language you like, but don't expect to be understood. That is your problem in logistics, not English speakers'.
