I only wonder if this will be any kind of lesson to the rest of the people who were at that party. There's nothing hip or cool about what happened. The only "keepin it real" we see here is that mindless, misdirected rage has cost the life of a kid who had a future. That future was stolen from him by people who now have no future but to grow old in a cage. Has there been ANY remorse?

The perp said he was sorry. I guess he didn't have to say he was sorry, but he did say that. There were several lives lost here which is why this is such a big deal. In just a minute or two, everything can change for several people at a time, or given a nuclear holocaust, for hundreds of thousands of innocent people at a time.

If God were truly watching over us, things like this would not happen. Think about that. It's so difficult to watch innocent people die from an evil force that shows up at a specific moment in time. Going to church and praising the lord doesn't stop any of this at all. We are left helpless with wounded spirits while the worst elements of humankind express and exert themselves.

There is no law enforcement that can stop events like this and people like this. We can only judge them later and weep.

As crowded as our prisons are why don't they just give this worthless ghetto thug the needle in front of the jury. It would save us time and money.

Part of the problem here is the culture of NOT cooperating with the police when other crimes occur. The ONLY way all these people who glorify lawlessness, violence and misery will ever come around is when they stop getting away with stuff.

By not helping the police you are asking for this sort of thing to become the norm in Douglas county. So there is a LOT more that can be done besides crying AFTER they do something horrible. If they are bad kids, they COULD grow up to be bad adults. It happens.

I interpret his remorse as, "I'm sorry I got caught and so sorry I must spend the rest of my life for killing this person".

Maybe he will try to show everyone how tough he is in prison and another unknown prisoner will save the taxpayers from having to feed him for the rest of his miserable life.

This is not Gods fault. God gave us the ability to make our on decisions and choices. I am sorry some one died, but don't blame it on God.

According to your statement, god intervenes and is involved in our daily lives.

So why would god not be to blame, why can he cure Mrs. X's breast cancer and not save the life of a helpless child as he is beaten to death by 4 thugs all twice his size.

Yeah, god is good my a$$!

You're an idiot!

I'm not inclined to sign on to the God theory on this one either. What I would rather discuss are the cultural dysfunctions that fed into this tragic event. Being at a party while 4 psychopaths beat one of the guests is hideous enough. But what concern was there for finding the truth?

When law enforcement arrived they sequestered everyone and took their phones. Parents went nuts over THAT while Bobby Tillman was being pronounced at Douglas General. Gee, why did the cops do that? Because some of the 80 or so "youths" were already trying to synchronize their stories (this means they were planning their lies folks).

Taking their phones and making them sit on the bus in silence while they were interviewed individually is exactly what you do when this kind of murder happens. And here I will thank God that the cops actually did investigate this as well as possible.

Instead of just sweeping the death of another black kid (at the hands of 4 other black kids) under the rug, the cops actually did something about it. But what is anyone doing about the culture that leads to this on an almost daily basis in America?

Actually most of the parents were fine with it once they were told why. So was the na2cp, save a few, who will never agree with anything cops do.

you know what? so what if there is no God? Why do you feel it necessary to try and take away the only comfort some people have in life. So you are find with death and being worm food. Great! Let others believe what they want and quit being such an ahole. Just giggle to yourself quitly instead of trying to take away the only peace some people may have. I bet you'd run over a turtle in the middle of the road just to give you're self a grin. Everyone knows how smart you are when it comes to the Bible, now quit being an ass and focus your intelligence that can actually improve something. Did you tell your kid at age 3 there was no santa clause? Easter bunny ect?

Well, Mr. Zeus, aren't your panties all up in a wad!

The delusion of religion and of god is poisonous to our species, like a cancer eating away at our intelligence and holding us back 100's of years in the way of science and medicine.

I would love to sit back and be quite but as long as religious believers and leaders continue make ignorant and repulsive claims about "ligitimate rape" and the females body's ability to reject it once the brain realizes its been raped, I will continue to post truth.

As I've stated numerous times, you do not have to read my posts. But, you and your kind always do and when you start to feel the logic seep into that ignorant little brain of yours you all lash out the in the same manner, with anger and name calling and racist and homophobic comments.

I understand that your mental laziness is what has caused you to be diluted and manipulated, it's human nature to accept the easiest answer instead of researching on your own for answers that may be difficult to answer or accept.

The moment people realize that there is not a god, heaven or hell, they'll start acting better now and live each other more wholly because this is the one and only shot we have at this.

If you need the tought of a father figure type god that constantly watches over you and threatens you with eternal damnation to be a good little robot, then you are a sorry excuse for a human and we can do without you!

well, you are correct, we don't have to read it but when you feel it neccessary to throw it into e very topic, that's when you have a problem. I never said I believe it, I simply asked why you must post it everywhere. The topic of thid post was not God. You spun it into it like you do everychance you get. Keep the topic were it belongs.
