"An estimated 40 percent of guns are purchased at gun shows which are exempt from the federal requirement for instant background checks and waiting period, according to Alice Johnson, executive director of Georgians for Gun Safety, a coalition of gun-control groups."

"If we donít vet folks who want to carry concealed in the state of Georgia, then there will be no vetting at all for 40 percent of all guns,Ē she said."

ALICE JOHNSON...YOU ARE WRONG!!!! GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Typical "frustrated control freak" lying. Why can't these people even attempt to tell the truth...?

During the US Supreme Court hearings on Washington, DC gun regulations, I did my research.
Having selected a city about the same size as DC and with a total ban on carrying handguns, I learned that London UK has TWICE the violent crimes as DC.
You cannot argue the facts!
Without a firearm you are TWICE as likely to become the victim of a violent crime. The figures were based upon data from both cities. That data was from 2007 which was the most recent available.
