"While supporters say applicants' citizenship verification is necessary to ensure education funding benefits students legally in the country, opponents say students motivated to further their education would be unfairly denied the opportunity to do so."

...students movtivated to further their education would be unfairly denied the opportunity to do so.
Who do these turkeys think they are?!!! I guess we unfarily denied them the opportunity to come here, so they came anyway!!!

They definitely have the opportunity to educate themselves in their home country...if motivated.

As I understand it, college education in mexico is either free, and inexpensive...and so are the meds!

They say that currently only approximately 3,000 of the 318,000 of college attendees would be illegal aliens. Is that so? We ALL know that the moment something like this is allowed, they will come in droves!!!! Look at California!!!

Deny it, they will leave! Behold AL, AZ, GA!

Magadala, I'm sure you've noticed how's it's always about what they want, no matter what. It amazes me that we pay and pay and pay for these people that do not even belong here, and they still can't get jobs here without stealing an Americans ID. I agree with you, but would like to suggest that since we have educated them, they return to their own countries and strive for higher education. I'm sure their family members in their homelands will be happy to have them back home. Sick and tired of the entitlement mentality. They're like parasites sucking the life out of the host. What will they do when the host is dead? Claim victory and Slither back across the border!!

Agreed! Have you ever heard an illegal alien say "thank you" to America for what they have already received?!!! NO! Just continual accusations of racism, bigotry, and the ever increasing mantra of gimme, gimme, gimme!

They say that only a piece of paper and a few numbers is the only thing that is differnt from them and citizens. Wrong! Citizens are concerned about the budget deficit, getting our country back financially, not how much more can we get!
