Zorro, it is time for Karnack to remind everybody who you say you are. If you are Marty, you sat in the organization’s highest seat and did your award winning performance of see no evil, hear no evil, and especially say no evil. You had the position and the power to do something about all those things you are now trying to claim you started right from the dais. You chose to say and do nothing as millions went out the door to special interests. Now you claim to be righteous. You want to call those who have spent their entire career pushing cases of fraud and mismanagement up the ladder simply disgruntled or conspiracy theorists. Karnack says isn’t it ironic when you say it you want people to believe you are a hero but when Karnack or others say it they have no credibility. Karnack says you are right about one thing. The machine desperately wants and needs for Karnack’s message to be unbelievable. Karnack says the problem you have there is that Karnack is not talking to the machine. The people Karnack talks to have already established his credibility beyond reproach. Why would Karnack or anyone else want to take information to the thieves and crooks at the top? Karnack has told you many have already been there many times. Karnack says that anybody who claims to be in your posse are among those desperate to shut off any more information., Karnack says you and your posse have desperately tried to highjack this blog with more spins and name calling. Karnack says the word at Hortt is you look and sound pathetic. Karnack says that is because everybody there knows how everything works and who everybody is. Karnack has foretold the machine has no more secrets. Karnack knows that the blogs were discussed at the latest Executive Leadership Team meeting. When Jimmy asked if anyone thought they should respond to the blogs, his senior managers all said no, they have read them and there is nothing there. Karnack has to laugh. Karnack says typical denial and arrogance. Karnack has to laugh some more. Karnack says if you want to be a hero call him, maybe he can interest you in a train ride. Karnack says you can cleanse your soul and actually be righteous. Otherwise, Karnack says get a helmet, buckle your chin strap, fasten your seat belt, and then hold on, it’s going to be a great ride. Karnack says the train has left the station. Karnack says can you hear the whistle blowing.

Notter knew, Till knew and every Board Member knew that what was happening in Sonty's house was well documented. In fact, I have much of the same type of documentation. Like, sending out e-mail to those people regarding serious issues that just go ignored. Or later being called a "snitch" or a "tattletale" for trying to do the right thing.

The culture of bullying is all there for anyone to see. How many people react to management in the system? Few, as most are too busy trying to handle Board Members' pet projects that they cannot do their own work.

And when you think nepotism or cronyism, you simply have to think of Broward Schools. They are best in class in those two categories. Ask the good Dr. about that. I don't know why he doesn't like Sonty. Maybe it is because he would not arrange kick backs.

I'm glad you guys are now going to expose past wrong doing, but as the saying goes "if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem".

What unique Information Technology (IT) requirements does Broward County have?

There should be a "State Board of Education" (SBE) that could handle things like: TV station licensing, software licensing, computer systems for the schools. There doesn't seem to be anything Broward-specific about any of these items. I'm sorry, even you "whistle blowers" will lose your jobs (or be demoted to SBE policy implementors), but we the only purpose of most of this per-county school system is "pocket lining", and we cannot afford that anymore. I'm not saying that all this fraud won't happen at the SBE level, but at least there will be only one fraud per state, rather than one fraud per county as we have currently.

Information technology, Construction, Property acquisition, payroll, demographics, student counts, employee morale, low graduation numbers. All are areas of failure. The underlying theme is corruption. Bringing information to management is the way to short circuit your career. Beware of the man who encourages you to bring issues to management (Zorro) Management loves to know who the trouble makers are. Yea, we are disgruntled. Every righteous witness ought to be digruntled. SIU is a sham. Satz is a sham and ought to be ashamed. All of the Board members who take money from anyone we do business with has no credibility. Whoever says they are not influenced by money is a big liar, a big fat liar. Using Macs for busioness apps is stupid. I don't care if every individual Mac is great. The PCs won the war. Business is a PC world and the language of business is PC language. If not for the influence of Apple money, we would not even have this discussion. If not for the influence of Bergeron money, we would not have discussed all the stupid land deals discussed earlier. If not for the money thrown around by lobbyists we would not be using the sasme crap architects and contractors to build the same lousy buildings over and over with change orders by the gazillion. I have heard of dirty deals in book purchaases, cleaning supplies (Dorsey Miller anyone?), favors with the unions, nepotism, ad nauseum. Bring it to Till and get your head cut off. I would like to see the School Board put up a place to blog about school board issues and then have management post responses with their names attached. It could be called Notter's Spin Zone, and the first thing he could enlighten all of us on how is so good that he should get all that money, but he is not good enough to win his job in a national search.

Yes, someone is listening. The advise: Seek the professional help you need. You left your service with the school board disgruntled over a year ago and you are still harping on things beyond your control.
Try to find some happiness and acceptance in your life and get on with it. It's not healthy and, despite what you think, the station has now gone full-power and is having a positive impact on the community. Your worst fears have been realized...

What a place? It would be comical if not for the fact the “boys and girls” for Broward County Schools are being royally screwed by the District. Anyone listening?

Bingo! Broward County Schools Management has created the perfect storm – winds of corruption, and vortexes of deceit. And now you want to hide behind the “disgruntled employee” shelter! As I said before, as soon as someone appoints a “Principal Investigator” with powers of subpoena and deposition under oath, I will be there with mountains of documentation.

Oops! It would be unfair of me not to mention the “Plantation Manager” type of consultant hired by the District to make your “management team” more functional. Instead, an inquisition was conducted with the purpose creating intimidation and fear.

Yes, it is time that a real investigative unit be assigned to the school board. It must not be anyone at the State level, as the web of corruption is far and wide. It needs to be a "real" investigation.

See, in addition to Avenger, myself, Karnack, Score Keeper, Evidence, Slick 50 and yes even Zorro, there are many, I mean MANY documentation freaks looking for that subpeona. The reason is that they have all been intimidated by the culture of fear advertised as a "retaliation free zone." Bullschitt!!! These people will paint you as "disgruntled" or "loopy" or "toxic" or any other adjective to take focus off the real truth...chaos, corruption, nepotism, cronyism and fraud.

Dr. Mathis is simply a hired henchman to help keep the board's fingerprints off their real agenda. His method is to restate that agenda and to "recommend" who the superintendent should let go if true leadership and functionality are to bloom. The only thing blooming in the school system is the unmanaged mold and mildew problems that go back so far that it makes this stuff look like just another day in the life.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mathis, probably handpicked by Smiley, Butler or Notter himself, sells himself as an industrial psychologist. That is elusive a description as a kanine therapist. Useless. Why would the district need his services and recommendations when they would only get in the way of the annointed leader "Mr. Cape Cod"?

The do not need an industrial psyche job, what they need is a good old fasioned corruption enema. Yeah out with the old shit and let's try to get something to stay down. We can go forward from there.

Mathis was pegged before he even got to town. So let's review, what has he done? Nothing. He told the board and Mr. Cape Cod that the old strategic plan (corpse) had been examined and that it was not just merely dead, it's really most sincerely dead. They all laughed at the embarrassment they had all helped to create. But that was okay because Dr. Mathis said it was Till's fault and he was fair game at that time.

Well guess what? It was developed while Notter was the number 2 (no pun intended) man and it was equally his baby. Everyone knows he needs to be involved in strategic plans...that's his specialty. Sorry Dr. we don't need no bad medicine.

I am educator in MDCPS and I have been following the wasteful spending on all of these technology upgrades. Here we call it BOSS - there you call it BRITE - it is stil ERP and is costing each county at least $100 million... meanwhile dedicated educators are being laid off - not surplussed.

Our public school systems have become fat cows for these tech vendors.

In MDCPS, our check register is now online and we can check various expenditures.Does Broward have this feature? Here are some of the ERP vendors I have been following:

Deloitte - main consulting firm
SAP of America
Cognos
Informatica
XETA Communications
Avaya

Do any of these vendors sound famiiar?

How long ago did Broward begin ERP implementation?

How is your IT staff dealing with this conversion?
