I am just supporting the mother in this.
she is in 100% support of Susie and her full recovery.
she wants her to recover and does not want her life to be on public display.

Susie would be horrified to see her picture on the internet taken by jack's gf during a PRIVATE visitation
and secretly taken to the news station.
just stating facts.

I just finished reading all the comments and what a shame that we are not all praising God for bringing this young lady to her present condition. I hope that we can all lift our hearts and hands upwards and forget the bickering between everyone. God has brought her this far and he can continue to work in Susie's life. We pray for her recovery every night and day. The rest is in Gods hands. Why not pray together instead of arguing? Life is so precious and it can be taken from us so quickly. We need to love one another and pray for one another. God Speed

I do not know what even to say..I do know that I am Jack's friend, I considered myself somewhat friends with Cindy, we do not know one another as well as I know Jack, that is why I say somewhat..I do know that I have taken MY FAMILY to the hospital countless times, this includes my 1 year old, early, late, whenever, even taken other family members there. We have even stayed the night at the hospital, in those awful chairs, and in a hotel to be close, so to say no family or friends have stayed, that is truely wrong. Not only for the family, but for SUSIE!! I hope that all this can be over, as far as the slaying of the parents, the HE said SHE said BULL. The 2 of them need to TALK, TALK with SUSIE...she is listening, I know first hand that she is, I have felt what SUSIE does when I talk to her. I beleive that GOD has a plan for her, just like us all. Her plan is to rest, then awake and take it day by day. As far as who cares for her, when the time comes, meet it then. DEAR SUSIE..I KNOW YOU ARE HEARING ALL THIS, REST AND WHEN YOU ARE READY ~A L L~ WILL BE HERE!!! WE LOVE YOU!! I am not on here to get anyone upset, mad or how ever you may get, I just wanted to state that my family has,was and will be there for all. We have also been there for Cindy and her family as well. We pray for all of you, but more so SUSIE!!

Shouldn't you be in support of Susie, and respecting her mother's wishes? For being a "friend", you certainly are putting her life on display by dragging her business into a public forum.

jack seems to be playing martyr.

i've heard both sides of the story.

i feel like someone needs to step up and set everything straight. "friend" seems to be doing a good job at that.

susie, i'm hoping you get better soon.=)

If susie woke up and heard all of this......truthfully.......she would see that she is back to her NORMAL life. BOTH families have been at each others throats for years so it's not like it would suprise her!

I can't believe what I'm reading. When I saw the broadcast, I was amazed at the irresponsible nature of the story. These matters are private and the PATIENT'S privacy should be protected here. To the family, shame on you for allowing the press to be involved in such a personal matter and not protecting your daughter. How do you think she would feel if she knew the circus that you've created. It's not about's about the person lying in the bed and giving her respect and support in probably the worst time in her life. Clearly the medical details were left out and too much has been left out to speculate regarding her prognosis. There has to be much more to the story. I have seen in my practice many well meaning family members ripping each other apart emotionally at a time when they should be coming together to MOST OF ALL respect the person lying in the bed. Shame on all of you for forgetting to focus on your loved one and that it's not about you. Stop "right fighting" as it won't matter whatever the outcome. Please just stop and think realistically about what she would have wanted.

"If you would like information about a living will, you don't need an attorney. You can download a form, have it signed by two witnesses, one who is not related to, you and it is considered a legal document."

The last part of this story can be very dangerous. If you do not understand what a living will says or how the hospital that you go to interprets it, then you could be in danger. Do consult an attorney and consult a physician. A living will isn't something that you should just sign on the dotted line with two witnesses with you.

I am sharing this article because I want to share the hope that I have for Susie. I would also like to bring the point that this “Dunlap” kid HEARD the Dr’s. Say that he was dead, and the feelings he had, that he was unable to communicate! If this story says ANYTHING at all, it indicates the possibility that Susie CAN hear us, and we should keep that in mind when saying negative things! I LOVE YOU SUSIE!!!!

Man declared dead feels 'pretty good'
Mon Mar 24, 10:09 AM ET
Four months after he was declared brain dead and doctors were about to remove his organs for transplant, Zach Dunlap says he feels "pretty good."
Dunlap was pronounced dead Nov. 19 at United Regional Healthcare System in Wichita Falls, Texas, after he was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident. His family approved having his organs harvested.
As family members were paying their last respects, he moved his foot and hand. He reacted to a pocketknife scraped across his foot and to pressure applied under a fingernail. After 48 days in the hospital, he was allowed to return home, where he continues to work on his recovery.
On Monday, he and his family were in New York, appearing on NBC's "Today."
"I feel pretty good. but it's just hard ... just ain't got the patience," Dunlap told NBC.
Dunlap, 21, of Frederick, said he has no recollection of the crash.
"I remember a little bit that was about an hour before the accident happened. But then about six hours before that, I remember," he said.
Dunlap said one thing he does remember is hearing the doctors pronounce him dead.
"I'm glad I couldn't get up and do what I wanted to do," he said.
Asked if he would have wanted to get up and shake them and say he's alive, Dunlap responded: "Probably would have been a broken window that went out."
His father, Doug, said he saw the results of the brain scan.
"There was no activity at all, no blood flow at all."
Zach's mother, Pam, said that when she discovered he was still alive, "That was the most miraculous feeling."
"We had gone, like I said, from the lowest possible emotion that a parent could feel to the top of the mountains again," she said.
She said her son is doing "amazingly well," but still has problems with his memory as his brain heals from the traumatic injury.
"It may take a year or more ... before he completely recovers," she said. "But that's OK. It doesn't matter how long it takes. We're just all so thankful and blessed that we have him here."
Dunlap now has the pocketknife that was scraped across his foot, causing the first reaction.
"Just makes me thankful, makes me thankful that they didn't give up," he said. "Only the good die young, so I didn't go."

I have been told that Susie is starting to respond a little, one eye is open, she is squeezing hands. Is this true! I am not one who believes in what I hear, so I can only ask for immediate kin to let us know. I wish someone would treat this site the way it should be treated and give friends and family, that can't be there updates on Susie’s recovery, for we all love and care for Susie. A lot of friends have stayed away from the hospital to give the family and Susie their space, but I for one would love to know how she is doing. Her and her children are in my thoughts and prayers daily and I look forward to seeing that black curly hair fly around and that smirk she does with her lip when she is mad, again.

for all of you who think this was anything easy for my father, you are all wrong not only was he a great father and the only reason he ever left that hospital was to run our business to pay bills so i was sheltered, had food, and could pay for things with my school he was also sick he died from cancer in 2010 and his only worries were his kids,my mother, and his side of the family...his last few words before loosing his memory was im going to wait on susie now. tell me if that sounds like a bad father to you?
