I don't understand that style of life. Same as I told my ex and my partner now--"if you have to get drunk to have a good time, you're just fooling yourself. Esp. if you don't even remember having the good time. And double especially if you wake up blaming me for crap you did. Then you REALLY ain't gonna have no good time."

Let the record show, Aimee hereby wishes all of you a happy holiday season. Most people don't even think about the reason for this holiday. Furthermore, there is a whole school of thought about its authenticity as relates to the early Americans and immigrants and assorted other principals. So my take on it is, any feast day is a good day, as long as you can still use it to stuff yourself and renew old family traditions and brawls. Or to sleep in and have no explaining to do. Be happy, be safe, be nice. Put on some nice music wherever you are and kick back with the beverage of your choice.

Come on, Cape Dude, I thought we had a good trend going here. Neither of us will be there to see what Jay does, will we? My beverage of choice will be a cup of coffee, made with freshly ground dark roasted beans, not Starbucks because there isn't a store nearby, and because they really aren't better than the HEB (Texas chain) Café Olé brand. I might indulge in some fine smoked Gouda cheese and a few ripe olives. Most likely, I will graze my way through the day and not have a sit-down meal. It's only a square on the calendar, not something to get all lathered up about. I wish I was more sociable and would accept at least one invitation from the great cooks I know who invite me annually, but that big noisy scene makes me tired just contemplating it. Not being an Emeril Lagasse fan, at all, I'm partial to real vittles and not fond of socially correct empty plates. I was so frustrated on my most recent trip to NOLA, not able to find a single bowl of turtle soup or a gumbo worthy of the name. Forget jambalaya, no one selling food in NO even knows what it looks like now. I didn't realize hookers worked on Thanksgiving, and find it a bit absurd that Jay needs to hire one or even can afford one if what has been said on this forum is true. There was a Scotch I liked in another life, an inexpensive one as opposed to cheap, and the price in no way matched the smoothness. It was a blend but a very good one. What kind of booze does Jay drink? I lean more toward the seriously aged single malts, but not because of price or status. Getting drunk or being out of control of my limbs would spoil the enjoyment. Now, about Jay, since someone said he watches this forum, I've wondered how he does that when his webmaster says Jay doesn't even know how to turn on a computer. Biggest laugh: "Someone told Jay to turn the computer on, so he hugged it and said 'you sure are cute'. That right there is funnnnnnny. Not sure which David originated it, but it's priceless. I prefer to think Jay is the owner of that little gem, because I can just imagine him with that little one-sided smile, saying such a thing. I refuse to think of him all smacked and soused and wallowing around with some trashy person, so I hope the hooker is a nice, clean, high-priced lady of the evening. My real preference is the other image, the one I had before the Dude contribution, of him sleeping late, ambling into the kitchen for a cup of courage and munching on something that is healthy and requires little effort beyond getting it on a plate. My hope is that all of my friends have a safe and pleasant holiday, unspoiled by stale grudges and ancient feuds. I often wonder what exactly Jay did to create the wrath you still harbor toward him. Wish you would enlighten us a little more if it's not too painful.

You are so right, Aimee...that indeed sounds like something Jay would say! I also had to laugh out loud on his Coconut Creek video when he was talking about how young girls used to come up to him and say "Ilove you, Jay!"
then,as the years passed they would say,"my mom just loves you, Jay!" Now they come up and say, "My grandma just loves you, Jay!" then he said something like "I've ***** more old Jews than Bernie Madoff!" LOVE THAT MAN!

There must be a lot of ESP in the air this week. I was just this afternoon thinking about his Coconut Creek joke. The audiences love it, and so do I. I know he's a potty mouth, but I am, too, and he uses it right. I heard him say on one radio interview that some place he was appearing required him to clean it up, and he totally was okay with that. So he knows when it's okay, and doesn't seem to want to offend anyone. And the Madoff joke won't work any other way. I was also amused when he told the story about Dion telling him to leave Jesus out of it, or something like that, after he told the "signed, Murray" joke. Jay is, as he said, a funny guy. His mind just works that way. I think that's one big reason we all want to know him. We would just sit around waiting for him to say something funny. I liked it when he said he would pause for a moment so everybody under ?? could figure out who he is. Do I have that right? Have to go back and watch the video. Hey, Brynn, so nice to have you back in circulation. Have a wonderful turkey day, and don't stay gone. Maybe you need to cuddle your computer?

It's not at all painful to me to tell the truth about a degenerative gambling, drunken, smack using womanizer, but he's obviously your idol. Something like the sacred cow of ancient times. Too bad you just cant see whats real, and what you think is real.

Hmmm, I didn't expect to see you on here this late. I'm thinking "idol" might not be the most accurate way to describe what Jay is for me. But it's difficult for me to understand why you would care about those things you say he is. I think you are a "dude", not a woman, so his womanizing most likely wouldn't bother you. You don't sound like you were one of those he borrowed money from and didn't repay it. Likewise, the smack. Those things would make you dislike being around someone, but your feelings about him seem much stronger than just a need to avoid. I choose to think you aren't just jealous of his appeal to women, so that isn't it. Industry insider could mean so many things: with a label, a recording company, a pressing shop, as in vinyl. I can't recall what we used to call those places, but you understand. I have strong feelings about some people, and you would never find me going to a thread about them. So your long-lasting animosity puzzles me.

Anyway, Thursday is supposed to be a day for giving thanks for all the good things we have in our lives, and I hope you have more good than bad in yours. I usually, for the past several years, spend such days rather solitary, and plan to this year. Here's hoping you are doing whatever you want to do, with whomever you choose and wherever you choose. Have a safe and pleasant holiday. I think last year you might have been absent from here during some holidays. I will probably check in but most likely will be the only one here after tomorrow.

A pleasant holiday to you as well. Being a male doesn't preclude me from disliking a womanizer. You're comment about me being here last years is odd. my first post here was about a month ago.

Uhoh, my bad! I thought you sounded like someone else. Without faces and with the constantly changing aliases, it's more than difficult to keep everyone sorted out. It's impossible! Like Sudi, I can't bear to commit your alias to mind or type. I will amend my mental image of you as someone from last year, to a newcomer. It often seems all of the guys here know who is who, doesn't it?

Aimee, I'm glad to be back...I love the conversation on here, and I even like Jaysucks...he keeps it interesting to say the least. JS, when you talk about all his bad habits, are you talking about now or back when he was in the group? I imagine he has slowed down a bit in his golden years as far as the womanizing and dope goes, but the gambling is probably still going on. That is a hard one to break. You can usually tell when someone does cocaine, they are usually very thin. My guess would be around the time of the video Sweetex posted, that was the thinnest I've seen him so far. Jay seems to be upfront about all his bad habits, and through it all one thing cannot be denied...his beautiful voice. If you don't appreciate anything else about him, you must admit he is one of the greatest singers ever!

Hello Brynn, he does have a great voice, too bad hes such a despicable person. This is why hes where he is today, virtually penniless, playing the dumpiest venues around. And no, he hasn't slowed down, only difference is the "guys" will no longer give him the credit he once had. Its actually amazing he still has his legs.

Brynn, I have wondered about Jay's coke usage, since he's not thin. He doesn't owe me an explanation, or anything at all, but I do have concern for his well-being. It's from a selfish viewpoint, of course, as I don't want to give him up. Yes, the Sweetex video is as thin as I've seen him anywhere. Maybe because the Dutch have such a liberal attitude about drug usage, although he would surely have needed some time to get that thin. Not sure how long he was there. Maybe our Cape Coral friend knows about such history. Hey, Dude, how about it? Can you fill us in with a little more than just "Jay is a degenerate gambler, womanizer, drunk," etc etc ad infinitum? You have delivered that message, so can we move on to details? We are starved for inside knowledge, even the bad stuff. Do you go back far enough and close enough to know?

Hi Brynn, welcome back. Happy Thanksgiving.I kind of like Cappy, too (JS). He's mannered and, even tho you don't really like his perceptions of Jay, at least he answers, and doesn't turn his replies into cryptic mumbo-jumbo.And he's not resorted to using filthy language. TTYL

You mean there are others in addition to gambling, drinking/drugging, womanizing and lying? What else is there? He doesn't have a wife, so wife-beating isn't likely to be on your list. I don't think he's a pedophile or other sex offender. Cross dresser? Leaves the toilet seat up? Drinks from the milk bottle and puts it back in the fridge? Doesn't wipe his feet before tracking onto the carpet? Kicks the dog? Throws his socks under the bed? Ah ha, I know one: sleeps till noon! Not a bad habit unless you have commitments that suffer. I love sleeping in. Okay, I'm out of bad habits and still have room for over 3000 letters.

Just a slight hint, he had a wife, more then one, ask them about his life style. Do you have a life size blow up doll of him? Maybe you can get one at the pawn.........or is that porn shop.
