Here is a thought for you...these are children we are talking about.

No matter how stupid the crime that they did, they do not deserve to be locked up for the rest of their lives. Punish them and provide them with rehabilitive education, but do not lock them up and throw away the key. That is simply giving up on another human being - and that is wrong.

Any "child", who at 13 rapes anyone, much less a 72 year old woman, has got serious issues that I don't believe are rehabilitateable. They should be locked up for life, or better yet, put to death. If they'll do this type of thing at 13, what will they do at 30???
