Bottom line: no one wants to pay for health care but plenty of people make a living off of it. Guess the wrong 22 people were appointed to this commission if nothing could get accomplished. It sounds a lot like Obama's super committee that was supposed to fix the federal budget. I guess this is the new flavor of politics these days -- appoint a committee or commission that won't fix anything just so some politician can say he tried to fix the problem but it wasn't his fault nothing got done -- he can blame his committee or his commission (whichever).

What I see as the sore point is that everyone knows it has to be reformed yet no one is ready to "Fall on the Sword" to reform it. So many who are screaming about cutting the deficit actually mean, cut everyone else's programs, don't take anything from me. Means testing would be one of the easiest ways to cut some expenses, just as long as those being means tested got at least the worth of they money they paid in back in some form. Personally just give me part A and let me take care of the rest myself. Me!

@TrueBlueHen, "It sounds a lot like Obama's super committee that was supposed to fix the federal budget." Or maybe it was the fault of President Obama's all-American faith in our divided-government system ; a robust belief that if you appoint a truly ,bi-partisan committee made up of half Republicans and half Democrats they could set aside their partisan differences and reach an agreement to cut 1.8 trillion dollars of unnecessary 'pork' from the national budget. President Obama is too much of an American patriot
